Great start for this new series!

This was an action packed story with a lot of twists and turns. The characters were great. Interesting ending.
Marcus Barton did a great job narrating the story.

exciting

This story is exciting, full of danger, Solving a murder can get several people killed, Twists , mind games and threats makes thus story Very suspenseful. It kept me on the edge of my seat.
The narration by Marcus Barton is very good. His portrayal of all character brought this story to life.

This was a good book, the suspense was killing me, I wasn't expecting things to happen, great book

Good protector book

I liked the way the story was told. Bits of backstory woven in. The romance was nice, good spice, and a decent amount of suspense. A few twists added to it.

The narration was clear and well-done. I kept hearing background noise/feedback. It wasn't awful enough to deduct a star, but I wish it hadn't been there. Not something I've come across before.

Kept me listening!

I live in San Antonio and I love reading fiction based on this area. The story was interesting and it kept me listening to find out how it was going to end.

Great start to this series!

Lone Star Rescue is book #1 in the Hard Justice series. This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed the story and her writing style. Rafe is working for MAVERICK, but gets called in as a consultant for a cold case involving an old girlfriend. There is plenty of suspense and intrigue to keep you interested from start to finish. I can't wait for the rest of the stories for this group!

The narration was fabulous. Marcus Barton is a new-ish narrator for me, but I have love everything he puts his voice to. Spectacular job with every character. 5/5 stars!!!

Must read

If you love romance and yet a mystery this is the book for you. I love Delores Fossen books, her characters come totally to life during the story. This story was a little different and not only was the H but the h was strong and can kick butt. The twist and turns of the book will keep you on your toes. The narration was good and was able to keep all the characters straight throughout the story.

Great romantic suspense

Special Investigator, Rafe is hired to consult in the discovery of bones thought to be those of his former gf…missing for over a decade. An explosion and discovery of a body ramps up the danger and suspense. Some tension between Rafe and childhood friend, Sheriff Bree lends to the romance. Great performance by the narrator! Enjoyable story.

Really good

A good suspense romantic story. Rafe and Bree both are trying to solve an eighteen year old murder and a missing persons of a blood friend of theirs. Really good story.
The audiobook is done very well and the narrator made you feel like you were watching the story rather than listening.

I really enjoyed the main twists in the story. Right when you think you know who did what things changed or there was a new character added.
