Shaun's emotion shows as he recounts the war in Ukraine, specifically when he talks about his time in the Siege of Mariupol, the loss of comrades, and his drive to "live, fight, and survive!" as his wife told him to. His story is a must to hear, and brings to bear the brutality of the Russian war machine on the Ukrainian people and Prisoners of War.

Excellent, yet heartbreaking.

I really recommend this book for anyone, to really understand the evil of russia and how corrupt their system is.
Very well written, as if listening to a friend. Absolutely heroic ordeal.

Amazing Book of the horrors of Russian captivity!

Amazing documentary on the author's journey with Ukraine and the horrors of Russian captivity. Great eye opening book on the atrocities that Russia commits in the current day and the importance of the freedom of the press. God bless the author and his path to recovery. The book is a definite must read!

It was brilliant to listen to this , it gave me a better understanding of what my brother went through as he was there with you ( john Harding) so sorry about the torture but so glad you escaped!! Well written! Loved it

Spellbinding

The story and the telling of it brought me to where it was happening and when, a literary feat. All of it, the ‘ good, the bad, and ugly’’.
