About this listen

First-time novelist Patti Hill has won over critics with this appealing look at a widow's efforts to keep her life together and her faith strong.

Owner of Perennially YoursGarden Design, Mibby Garrett loves her eccentric customers and her teenage son. She will need much support, though, when she finds out an intriguing secret about her former husband's past - he had a daughter he never told Mibby about.

A Story About Grief Recovery

The author makes some good points about recovery in widowhood. Though the story can go long at some points--such as when she discusses flowers in minute detail--she also shares insightful wisdom into the journey of grief and some if it's complications. The difficulties faced in beginning over alone, exploring new relationships etc. I appreciate her candor as she arrives to walk this journey our in faith.
