ADHD is one of the most common neurological disorders in the United States—yet a staggering 75 percent of girls and women remain undiagnosed. Due to the gender gap in medical research, which does not account for symptoms manifesting differently in women—leading to increased problems with anxiety, depression, working memory, sleep, energy, and concentration—many ADHD women are left to navigate a society that fails to understand their struggles and gifts.

How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Brilliant!
An exceptional aspect of this audiobook is its proactive stance on fostering self-acceptance and building resilience. Instead of framing ADHD as a limitation, the guide encourages teens to embrace their unique strengths. It acknowledges the impact of external factors such as academic stress and societal expectations, providing insights and tools for navigating these challenges.
Loved it!!!

Very informative indeed
I am part of a network of parents with children with various condtions including ADHD and autism. I find this book truly eye-opening, a beacon of hope to families and a source of information for people like me with my limited understanding of the condition. The book is an empathetic resource that demonstrates the author’s profound level of comprension of the dynamics around ADHD in teenagers. The case studies add another level of authenticity and are a welcome addition.
I was particularly impacted by the introduction of the positive sides of ADHD. This is a source of inspiration for teens with ADHD and their families. This book is a gift to those who care for, support and work alongside young people with ADHD.

A Great Resource!
I thought this book was great! I gave it to my teens and they were surprised by how much they liked it. After dragging their feet to listen to it, they told me it was such a useful book and they learned so much. Organizing comes easily to some while others struggle with it. This book will help you overcome procrastination, be more organized, approach finances, and even covers grit - which I appreciated. I'm a big fan of instilling grit in my kids! This book covers so much and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a resource to help the teens in their lives become more organized as well as dive into numerous skills they will need to be productive adults. This is the book for you!

Really enlightening
There is a teen in my life with ADHD, so I got this book to understand a little more about how his mind works. And, wow, what a resource. Tons of both the science you need to understand, and the practical suggestions to grease the wheels of daily activities. I loved the narrator too. Really great stuff.
