A Good Listen for Younger Audiences

Despite the fact that the characters in this book are 14, the book was obviously written for the preteen or tween set. The book has a certain number of the "young audience" fantasy archetypes: the kid stuck in cruel circumstances, the wise mage to lead him on his quest, the evil enemy bent on controlling the world -- and thus, quite accidentally, destroying it. But the nature of Foo -- the land where all human dreams come from, makes this a little bit different.

I will not tell you it's great, because it is not! But younger audiences should appreciate and enjoy it.

Always a good read and now a good listem

I read this back I'm 08 and have spent many years looking for it again as it was one book that kinda just got lost in time. After finding it and seeing it on audible I HAD to give it a listen and I was not disappointed, the book was already great but the narrator does a nice job of voicing each character. really looking forward to the rest of the series

Great for the whole family!

Would you consider the audio edition of Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo to be better than the print version?

The audiobook was great for our autistic daughter. She really got into the series and the narrator made that happen. I listened to this one, but read the print version of some others in the series. After having listened to this first, I read with E.B. Steven's voices in my head. :)

Fantastic story - too much audio drama

If you could sum up Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo in three words, what would they be?

Boy finds purpose

Who was your favorite character and why?

Geth because he never lets bad events get him down.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator could have less vocal suspension. I was troubled by the tone. That being said, we all loved the voice of Clover - it seemed appropriate.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Good verses evil..in your dreams!

In the story leven struck two bully’s by lightning but then forgot about it when they found out about him seeing the future and changing it.

overall pretty good, but

The first half of the story is very very slow, also thr story as a whole is a little repetitive. I feel like the writer could have made the story 2 an a half hours shorter and it would have been a better experience. That said the short comings are out done by the good. The story is overall good and entertaining. The concept is interesting. Characters are fun, and consistent. The performance was great, EB Stevens never disappoints.
