About this listen

Millions are satisfied to sit through hour-long, weekly religious services. Millions more have left the church, brokenhearted and cynical. But God is waking up his people - people who will risk everything and sacrifice anything to become the dynamic, powerful church seen in Scripture.

We Are Church calls Christ-followers, young and old, to hold fast to their biblical roots while seeking radical change. Scripture promises an exuberant and unstoppable church. That wondrous early church of acts can be our reality today - but not until we devote ourselves to her original priorities.

Listen to this book and be challenged, guided, and encouraged to passionately pursue God’s magnificent and beautiful vision for his church. Come and claim your part in this body of believers that is not just possible - it’s promised.

Absolutely Fantastic

Francis is a wonderful communicator. I'm a pastor/church planter myself and he describes what my heart has always hoped could be true in the American church. I feel very challenged by this work, but hopeful too. With Jesus' help we can do this!

Very eye opening.

While I don't agree with everything Francis says in this book, I do agree with a lot of it. The modern day church, especially in America needs to go back to the basics. It's gotten too carried away with trying to please everybody and gain more attendees. People attending an hour long meeting on Sunday is not what the Lord had in mind for His church. It's supposed to be more than that. A closely knit family united for the glory of Christ, to do His work. Francis definitely hits the nail on the head with a lot of points in this book. While I don't think the house church model is always ideal in every circumstance, I believe the church would be a lot purer and stronger if it were more common. I recommend this book to any Christian that is tired of American Christianity and churchianity!

Excellent

This book will challenge anyone who has wondered if there is more then showing up on Sunday and putting money in a plate. Francis Chan shows once again that he believes the Bible is to be taken literally and desires to follow all of its implications. It’s very well written and read. Well done!

Powerful

I’ve felt this way for a while, but couldn’t express it. Knowing other churches are moving to an early church model excites me for that could be. I’m incredibly thankful for an anchor in God’s word as I see to have my life/home group go back to its “roots.”

Definitely picks up as book goes on.

Great insight from an author I have come to love. Letters to the Church features all of the challenge and personal stories you expect from Francis Chan. I did not love the performance of the reader but overall it was a thought provoking and action inspiring listen.

Excellent Book!

Really hard and gut checking book, but so needed in this life cycle of the church. It's really hits home to the heart of the matter.
