About this listen

Lauren Ashburn left a promising job to help her family in Vermont take care of her dying father. Now that he's gone, Lauren has every intention of returning to her old life—the vibrant, successful one her father had always expected her to have. But Lauren discovers that she feels adrift without his strict guidance.

Georgia Solomon designs homes for others. But as a bisexual autistic woman, she rarely feels at home herself. When her best friend dies suddenly, leaving her alone with their young daughter, her little slice of happiness vanishes. Now Georgia finds herself struggling to navigate a world that doesn't understand her at all.

Lauren and Georgia clash at a disastrous work meeting, but Georgia's daughter Hannah pulls them together despite themselves. As they discover new possibilities and priorities for the future, can they make room for love? Or will they have to leave each other behind—in order for them both to move forward?

Ok but cute

A cute story but could have had a more elaborate ending. The Narrator was a bit robotic sounding.

Must read romance!

Great book and performance, especially considering this is mostly from a first person perspective, where the narrator is almost a representation of the mc's inner voice & thoughs (from my interpretation) and it makes so much sense to me.

👍

Great character in Georgia…and the kid isn’t too precious. Heat level low to moderate. Worth a credit😀.

Refreshing

I really like this book - a lot. a real story rather than the typical lez romance structure. Deep, enlightening, sexy and funny. The sexual tension was fantastic and found myself staying up for "one more chapter" as the story line went on. I do like the narrator... and grew more at ease with her infliction style as the story went on. I appreciated the different voices she gave each character. she did a good job. Great book and i hope Audible gets more of EG's works.

Really good, but left me wanting more of an ending

I listened to the audiobook. The narrator was new to me but very good. I could almost hear the author in her voice. She was very expressive! The story and characters were really different and I could see their connection and how their relationship developed and how they each interacted with Hannah. The relationship grew gradually and they had a lot to figure out. It was such a heartwarming story. My only issue is that the book ended too soon and too suddenly. I would have liked more details about what happens next. Since I only listened, I can't really comment about the writing, just about the storytelling, which seemed stellar. I just want more about these characters!
