About this listen

It is the dark and lonely road. You drive, you're tired and falling asleep behind the wheel. The windows are down, the cool air blowing through your hair as you crank up the stereo. AC/DC blares on the radio and you are screaming out the chorus. Then a set of headlights emerges from the darkness, and your night has become a nightmare....

Welcome to Last Exit, an anthology of horrific tales where life on the road can sometimes take a dark an unexpected turn.

Anthology includes:

  • "One Bad Night"
  • "On Time Delivery"
  • "Saying Goodbye"
  • "The Rest Area"
  • "Roadside Assistance"
  • "Black Friday"
  • "Bed Bugs"
  • "Spiders in from the Garden"
  • "Coming Home"
  • "Death at Germantown"
  • "Fatter"
  • "Free Fall"
  • "Silently Screaming"
  • "Inside the Mirrors" (excerpt)
  • "Hatched" (excerpt)
  • "Caught in the Web" (excerpt)
  • "Into Darkness" (excerpt)

It keep the minutes go by fast while I was doing the laundry and mopping the floor. Darren Marlar voice was so entertaining and amazing. This is the first book I have listen to and only took me one and a half days to get through it. I love the first story about semi truck driver and dog died. I like the stories at end that the author gave reasons for writing it after every chapter! Mr. Marlar made it scary.

Entertaining

I've often romanced the image of the life of a long haul truck driver, Darren Marlar brings these characters alive, his voice helps with the imagery created by the author's storytelling talents, I didn't want it to end!

Life on the road isn't all open highways and fresh air...
