About this listen

Brighton, England, 1820

Amelia Moore wants only one thing - to secure the future happiness of her younger sister, Clara. With their stepfather’s looming death, the two sisters will soon be on their own - without family, a home, or a penny to their names. When an invitation arrives to join a house party at Lakeshire Park, Amelia grasps at the chance. If she can encourage a match between Clara and their host, Sir Ronald, then at least her sister will be taken care of.

Little does she know that another guest, the arrogant and overconfident Mr. Peter Wood, is after the same goal for his own sister. Amelia and Peter begin a rivalry that Amelia has no choice but to win. But competing against Peter - and eventually playing by his rules - makes Amelia vulnerable to losing the only thing she has left to claim: her heart.

I'm so happy I stumbled upon this book by Megan Walker. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and characters and the book had a satisfying ending. This isn't the first time I've heard the narrator, Justine Eyre, and I enjoy her narration as well. I will be checking out Megan's other books.

Wonderful Love Story

The main characters are easy to love and cheer for. It’s only slightly predictable Because of the genre, but it was still clean with enough “spice” to keep cheering for the kiss and for them to get together.

Love the main characters and storyline

I enjoyed all the story had to offer.
I however do not care for the narrator Justine Eyers I feel she takes away from the story and has such an annoying voice.
IT is sad but true when I find a book I've been waiting for
and then so disappointed when I find out the reader is Justine Eyer. For those who like her narration that's great this is just my my personal opinion. GREAT STORY

the story was excellent, the narrator was excellent with the exception of her trying to do the man's voices. That didn't work for me.

a woman should never try to do a man's voice .

The situation Amelia and Peter found themselves was so conflicted (what with first impressions which were terrible) and sisters vying for the same man. It sure made me wonder how they were going to move past everything and get together, but fear not! It all worked out in the end. This was a cute, clean regency romance. Definitely recommend!

Cute cute cute! ❤️
