So many zany stunts

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. Wow, Walt & Ox had so many zany stunts in this one! I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself.

I was slightly disappointed with George Kuch's performance. The volume and tone of voice kept changing. Almost as though it had been edited to add in extra bits. I don't know what was going on but it distracted me a bit from the story.

Delightful!

I love this series and find they keep getting better and better. Robert Thornhill is a very talented author and writes so well and has some of the best humor. He is able to have several stories going within one book that tie together so well. George Kuch is able to consistently perform so many characters within the book and sound age appropriate for each of them. He has a magical way of delivering the humor that is laugh out loud. Maybe its my age, but I totally get these books and the locale. I love how the author pulls actual events and encompasses them into the books. I cannot recommend this book (and series) enough! I am so looking forward to the next adventure of Walt, Ox, Maggie and the crew. I requested a review copy of this book and have voluntarily written this review.

I love this series

Walt Williams is the McGuyver of the police department with some of his antics to save people or stop the criminals. He an Ox get themselves in trouble with their wives which is hilarious. I wasn't quite onboard with a show of Walt and Ox. I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

Walt is a Star Trek fan!!!

law-enforcement, seniors, situational-humor, verbal-humor, audiobook -------------------
The good guys of the SLPD are back! A different pair of retired guys win the lottery and engage a cousin who is a good lawyer to help them to avoid the pitfalls that other lottery winners have faced. There are a lot of other lessons to be learned, and Walt and Ox are right in the middle of the stickiest ones. We also learn a little about the use of drones, and even a little visit by Captain Kirk/William Shatner. Be ready for lots of laughs!
George Kuch is the voice of Walt and crew, and continues to do a fantastic job.

Once again great story.

Robert Thornhill has done it again. When I first started listening and they were talking about Star Trek (I am not a fan) I thought oh no not going to like this one. But I was wrong. The story line soon go really interesting and not at all Trekkie. George Kuch once again out does himself.

Lady Justice and the Lottery. Book 14

A friend of Walt's and his friend win the lottery. Walt and Ox begin a new adventure in kidnapping for money. My favorite part is Walt using a Star Trek Phaser to catch a bad guy. This is a must in anyone's audible collection! Hilarious!

George Kuch uses voices that are believable and, in most cases, lovable.

Lady Justice and the Lottery

Lady Justice and the Lottery (Lady Justice #14)
by Robert Thornhill

Robert has the listener examining what they would do if they came into a windfall. We get to see greed from other people wanting to take some of the winnings away. One of the two elderly starts by trying to help the kids of the community. The other wants to fund entertainment of the type from days gone by.

Walt and his friends are all back and in some hilarious ones at that. We even get to visit Star Trek, captain Kirk's chair from the bridge of the Enterprise. Phasers and tricorders are a good lead in to.........

Of course our qüestion of the book is " drones, are they a spying device or a tool for good?"

My question is Morty the lottery winner the same Mort that was bagging groceries in the first Lady Justice book? Just wondering.

Thanks for another humorous fun listen, Mr. Thornhill. I'm looking forward to the next book.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. George Kuch you make my day, when I listen to your performance.

Great listen who wouldn't love this author humor

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed this series, love the dry humor of Walt, I have to say each story makes me laugh out loud but this more than most of them. I laughed so hard my tummy hurt people at work said there she goes again, my boss said what is so funny, then said your listening to that audio again aren't you. I know we have all thought about winning the lottery and what we would do with the money, but I doubt any of us have every thought of spending it the way these men do. I love how the author spins a tale of danger, love with a twist of humor that keeps you on the edge as you laugh yourself silly. I love how Walt makes a mess of things but it somehow works out. I have thought about it before and always thought this series would make a great TV show only if you would have the right people playing the parts. As in this story the winners decide all of Walt's and his friends should be on TV, I couldn't agree more. This would be on series I would have to buy as soon as it came on DVD.

Mr Kuch is a wonderful narrator from his male to female voices you are captivated, he really brings Walter to life with his dry humor that fits him to a T. Each of his character voice really fit what I picture the character to sound like which makes it very easy to picture them in your mind. I had no trouble picturing the danger, ribbing, humor and excitement as it unfolds. I always give him a five start because of the wonderful job he does. I wish I could do that again but there were a lot of volume changes half way through the audio that did take away from his preference. Beside that there is no background noise, no repeating of words just a lot of volume changes where his voice is lower and than higher. It happens to many times for it to be when breaks are taken. He still is one of the best narrators I have listen to and does brings true emotions to his characters you can feel the power of the excitement, danger, thrills, and humor along with the dry humor of dear old Walter. The narrator knows how to bring you the thrills, excitement that holds your attention from the first page until the last. I didn't know just why I truly loved his narration until I listened to someone else narrate and found he doesn't put in Walt said or she said etc that takes so much away from the enjoyment of listening. If you have truly wonderful character voices they can tell you who is talking and what they are feeling. My hats of to this narrator for giving me what I truly want to listen to.

Even with the volume changes I totally enjoyed this audio, I love the laughs, even a few OH MYs and a couple of oh that isn't good.
