About this listen

Ox and Judy are off to Alaska on a honeymoon cruise and invite Walt and Maggie to tag along.

Their vacation plans are soon shipwrecked by the murder of two fellow passengers.

The murders appear to be linked to a century-old legend involving a cache of gold stolen from a prospector and buried by two thieves.

Their seven day cruise is spent hunting for the gold and eluding the modern day thieves intent on possessing it at any cost.

Another nail-biting mystery that will have you on the edge of your seat one minute and laughing out loud the next.

Alaska Cruise, a REAL Top Chef and... Murders!

Would you listen to Lady Justice and the Cruise Ship Murders again? Why?

This is THE legit question! As expensive as Recorded Audible books are, they should be "relistenable"! Good News! The Lady Justice series including "Cruise Ship Murders" are creative enough and performed well enough to fit the bill!

What did you like best about this story?

It incorporates "real life" references and people. For example, real life Top Chef Marcus Sammuelson actually did a stint on cruise ships. He is mentioned, certain aspects of towns and cities in Alaska. Airline travel nightmares!. Lol

Which character – as performed by George Kuch – was your favorite?

Walt, the main character. But I have to say how much fun George Kuch brings to the whole performance! This is a very good series and George's performance elevates it even higher!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

You will want to, but my suggestion is to savor it.

Any additional comments?

I step away after each listening to the Lady Justice books so pleased at how entertaining they are. I appreciate the characters, the plot and stories, the humor...

I'm looking forward to more entries in the ongoing series! I have most of the works as Kindle editions and have listened and reviewed all of the Audible versions thus far.

Thanks for the opportunity to listen and offer my opinions on this work!

A review copy was gifted to me at no charge. In return, I am happy to provide an honest review. Also at no charge.

I love this series!

Lady Justice and The Cruise Ship Murders was my fifth enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill & the eleventh in the series. AS I’ve read, reviewed & communicated with the author he recommended I read this book prior to taking my first cruise. An enjoying & entertaining read, filled with puns & one-liners, and more mystery than earlier books. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections. I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! The dynamic duo take Alaska!

The thing which George Kuch does the best is allowing us (the reader) to peek behind the curtain and know what the killers are thinking and planning. But even though we know who they are & what they are doing, it never takes away from the allure of the chase. This book was a true cat & mouse and with each close call I was on the edge of my seat tensely waiting to see what would happen next.

I loved this installation because it put the gang in a new location & mixed the humor of a couples vacation with the very real threat of a killer on board. Comedy, suspense & mystery are all blended into one! This series does it the best!

George Much is the only person I can imagine narrating this series. His narration is perfect as always.

Lady Justice and the Cruise Ship Murders

Walt and Maggie along with Ox and his wife, Judy, are on a cruise to Alaska. On the trip they meet another couple, Amy and her husband Mark. They are on this cruise to go to Alaska to meet with a Professor who told them that he had info on a bag of gold that belonged to Mark's great great grandfather. On the third or fourth morning Walt along with a steward discover two bodies in the cabin that housed Amy and Mark. But with a little investigation it's discovered that the couple had gotten bumped up to a better cabin. It's then it's determined someone(s) are tying to kill them. So Ox and Judy and Walt become their bodyguards. To add to this Walt gets a call from his father about a crook who's in town to get even with one of Walt's friends. This turns into a vacation where Lady Justice doesn't rest.
George Kuch recreates Walt and his friends to perfection!
Another remarkable audio and story!

Lady Justice always prevails. My favorite scene was of the ladies saving their men and Maggie's off the wall comment afterwards.

Yes I have listened to narrate every book in this series and I've even recommended him to other authors.

Some honeymoon!

situational-humor, verbal-humor, vacation, cozy-mystery

Some vacation this turned out to be! After some initial snafus, cops Walt, his partner Ox, and their wives go on an Alaskan cruise and learn many interesting things about cruises. Then there is a double homicide which turns out to be a mistake on the part of the conspirators, and a serious problem back at home. No spoilers here, just go ahead and enjoy!
George Kuch continues to deadpan both the fun and mayhem very delightfully.
