Pilar Ruiz (Santander, 1969) es licenciada en Periodismo, máster en guion y diplomada en dirección cinematográfica. Desarrolla su carrera profesional en diversas disciplinas del medio audiovisual: guionista de cine y series de televisión (La señora, TVE). Como directora de cine, su largometraje Los nombres de Alicia (2005) obtuvo una nominación al Mejor Sonido en los premios Goya, la Mención especial del Jurado en el Festival de Málaga y el Premio especial del Jurado en el Festival de Miami. Es autora de El corazón del caimán y La danza de la serpiente, y El jardín de los espejos, este último publicado en Roca Editorial.
