Retorcida e imposible de dejar
Empieza como una historia normal sobre las experiencias de verano de un grupo de niños. De hecho, a mitad del libro ya me preguntaba en dónde estaba la parte terrorífica del libro. Eso no significa que me estuviera aburriendo. El libro está bastante bien escrito y la parte "tranquila" del libro hasta me hizo recordar un poco al estilo de "Matar a un ruiseñor". Luego te das cuenta de lo que ocurre: le has tomado cariño a los personajes y sabes que en cuanto empiece lo feo, te dolerá aún más. Y duele. Cuando pensé que ya estaba a punto de acabar el libro, todavía quedaban horas de narración. Y en esas horas, una historia que ya parecía retorcida, va oscureciéndose más y más hasta el final. Me gustó mucho. Pensar que está basada en una historia real lo hace aún más horrible.

Descubrimiento de lo terrible
Este libro es una obra dura, dolorosa y profundamente terrible que logra sumergirnos en la mente de un niño y sus inquietantes preguntas sobre la moralidad. A través de una narrativa intensa y desgarradora, el autor nos confronta con los dilemas éticos y emocionales que emergen desde una perspectiva infantil, pero no por ello menos profunda. Es una lectura que sacude, invita a la reflexión y, sobre todo, nos recuerda la complejidad del mundo cuando se ve a través de ojos inocentes. Una obra que, aunque difícil, es imprescindible para quienes buscan historias que trasciendan lo superficial.
