Good religious periodic story. Interesting seeing the portrayal of 1200’s-1300’s from the 1920’s perspective.

This book, albeit it very long, will keep you attentive and interested throughout its entirety.

A Beloved Classic Reread

I first read “Kristen” in high school 75 years ago. Listening to this beautiful performance now has given me enormous pleasure.

Lengthy historic depiction

Great narration- depicting the times as I envision- never a dull moment but a little cheesy in place- overall a great experience

Beware of the Introduction skip over it

This is an excellent book but do not listen to the introduction. It basically told the entire plot and ruined the story for me. After you finish the book then listen to the introduction.

The narrator was excellent! The best I’ve heard!

I loved the writing., but it really came alive because the narrator - the reader knew each character so well, and did a fantastic job of reading. I’m blown away by this audiobook! Highly recommend!

Historical Beauty

This trilogy absolutely blew me away. I never imagined that I would relate so deeply with a woman in the 14th century but I feel so close to her after reading all 3 of these books. They are absolutely heartbreaking but in a way that cracks your heart open so it may become stronger and larger. I recommend this trilogy to everyone of any age but especially to women in the middle of their timeline if existence like. I am.

A lovely tale of a Norwegian girl growing up and her life struggles. This new translation is very good. An excellent snapshot of what life was like in 1400’s Norway.
