About this listen

Could a captivating art exhibit hold the key to truth—and love? Budding artist May Parker is captivated by the Japanese exhibits at the AlaskaYukon-Pacific Exposition and longs to know more about her mother’s heritage—which her mother refuses to speak of because of the heartache she left behind in Japan. Wanting to experience more of the exhibits, May works as a Camera Girl but her curiosity leads her into danger when a suit of samurai armor becomes the target of an elusive art forger. After ten years apart, May is reunited with her childhood friend Lee Munro, a police detective assigned to keep a watchful eye on the exposition. Their friendship immediately begins to blossom with hints of something more, but when they become entangled in a dangerous heist involving the samurai armor and their love is threatened, can they overcome the odds against them?

World Expo

Book 1&2 were great as usual. I love time period/ historical stories that keeps the reader, in my case listener engaged . Tracie Peterson, has been a favorite author of mine for many years. The way she takes you through these women’s lives and how they start off young and have no clue what the world is like on their own, to ending with most of if not all of the camera girls married and with a family. Best part is how beautifully the word of God is woven in the story. The author brings the reader back to whom we all should give our worries over to and thank God for all that we have and so much more.
5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for sure.

Beautifully finished

I was able to get all 3 books in the series at one time. I listened to one after another. All of Tracie Peterson's books are well done, but I really enjoyed this series as it kept the characters connected from book 1 to book 3. I love the Christian values upheld in these books, bringing clean romance with mystery, and intrige mixed in. Great Job once again also to Leah Horowitz on a wonderful job with the narration.

Love Conquers all

I liked that Lee and May found each other after many years and won the blessing of his parents to marry.

Excellent romantic suspense!

I thoroughly enjoyed this last book of the series. Although it could be read as a stand-alone, it is much better to read the whole series. This is Lee’s and Mae’s story. She is half Japanese and Lee’s family is quite prejudiced. Will they ever get over it? The story’s suspense kept me listening too as Lee and Mae became quite involved! The expo in Seattle reminds me of the World’s Fair there in 1962, and the book brought back good memories. I loved the whole series and the narrator brings the story to life. Excellent!
