Meghan and her husband of twenty years are living together but are together to make sure their daughter is not tramatized with her parents impending divorce just before she is set to go to college. Then she discovers her soon to be ex husband had an affair with a junior member of his law firm. Now they are being blackmailed. Once by the woman's husband and then someone else. Then later the second man is found murdered by Meghan. Now it looks like Meghan and her soon to be ex husband are on the top of the list of suspects.So Meghan and her friends start trying to decipher the clues as to who the real murderer is.
Zim Avaltrades brings each of the characters alive as she weaves the story of a small town.
Fantastic audio and story.

Great cozy mystery…

The narrator was robotic and disrupted the flow of the story. The male voices were the worst of all. Disappointing narrator for a good mystery novel.

Knitting and murder

I enjoyed this book! The characters were enjoyable and there was a lot of humor throughout the story. Megan has a testy relationship with her husband who will soon be her ex-husband. There’s someone who knows some secrets about them. There’s someone who ends up murdered. The story has a small town setting. It was a fun cozy mystery!

Good book. Performance murder.

I’ve read most of Reagan Davis’ books in this series and enjoyed them. This narration was almost painful to listen to. I finally adjusted the speed to see if it helped but it didn’t.

The Murder is in the Narration

It's a light story if you want easy summer reading. You will want to actually read this series. The narration is horrible, slow and distracting. I feel like a 5th grade reading teacher listening to students practice reading. I will not be getting the rest of the series.

Nice string story

I enjoyed the overall story. It was light and entertaining. However the narration sounded often like a robot was reading it.

Fun Read

This was a really fun read. The story is light and fun, but just intriguing enough to keep you guessing. I really like the voice actor who kept the story engaging with the voices. The text effect was a really nice touch.

Story was good and I enjoyed it

Liked the story, but the voice actor seemed too young to be almost 40 and the voices she does for side characters is atrocious. I'm not sure if the best friend April is stoned, slow, or stupid. And Kelly and Stephanie sound like 5 yr Olds.

Interesting twist on a cozy

This is the first in the series. I listened to this book when given the opportunity. I also read it with my prime account.

Meg and Adam live together and will be filing for divorce as soon as their daughter leaves for college. Paul confronts her and tries to blackmail her. Meg is having none of it. Adam is being blackmailed at work. It gets messy.

Paul is killed and both Meg and Adam become suspects.
I like how the town comes together to support these two. The investigator made an impression on me. I’ll be checking out the next in the series.

I found the narrator enhanced the story.

Decent story absolutely terrible narration

I would have listened to the next book but the narrator was so so bad! I could not listen to another book with her
