Loved This One!

I liked this one! I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't stop.
I was so excited to get Kit's book and get more of his story.
I have always enjoyed a brother's best friend and this one is one when the brother is okay with it.
Really good story and characters!
The audio is AMAZING.

Good Listen

For me this book was just ok. There were moments when I thought that I had missed something and would go back, but that was just the way the story was written. Although sometimes the flow was off, the story was good. The narration saved it all for me. The narrators did an amazing job with this book. There were moments of boredom, but I can listen to Teddy Hamilton read me side effects on medication handouts. So for me the narrators saved this book.

Great Story

First you can almost never go wrong with Teddy Hamilton or Vanessa Edwin. So the narration was awesome. The story was also awesome. I love a good 2nd chance romance and the suspense thrown in with it made it even better. This is the second or third book I listened to written by this author and have not been disappointed yet. Great characters, story line, it also has some characters from Prophet (you don't need to listen to it before reading this one). Good use of my credit.

The Wisdom from Maturity

4.5 stars - This romantic suspense hit the spot! The mystery and danger starts right out of the gate and doesn't stop until the end. I anticipated many of the twists but the delivery was still good.

Kit and Caro find themselves in the middle of a situation compliments of her ex. Things get ugly. Bodily harm occurs and street drugs are at the heart of the matter.

My heart breaks for both of them as they have grown up since Caro ended their relationship years earlier and each realizes what they need now that may not have been understood then but maturity has given (mostly) Caro the wisdom to she where she incorrectly judged. Despite the numerous trips to the hospital, I love when they let their guards down and reunite, body and soul. 💜🔥🎉💜

I enjoyed an author's copy of the audio book and I liked Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton as the narrators. I kept finding reasons to leave my ear buds in to listen to more of the story. A really good book!

Kit by S.M West is a second chance brother's best friend romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton. This is the second book in the Scarred Hearts series and can be read as a standalone.

I absolutely love Suzanne’s books! I can't help but binge them. I really enjoyed the relationship between Kit and Caro. I liked that we got both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Vanessa and Teddy did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like second chance romances, brother's best friend romances, contemporary romances, or romantic suspense.

Great second chance story!

This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. “Kit” is an action packed, suspenseful, and steamy second chance romance that I could not stop listening to. Caro and Kit’s story was the perfect second chance story.

Caro is a doctor and has been working at a clinic that’s in a rougher part of Toronto but she values the help she brings to the community. Kit is her childhood sweetheart but circumstances tore them apart. But when Caro finds herself in the middle of a tense situation when she finds out her ex has been using her clinic as a front to funnel drugs out. Now the dealers are after her and Kit vows to protect her.

I absolutely loved Caro and Kit. Their backstory on how they met and how much they were in love was so sweet and it broke my heart under the circumstances that broke them apart. I loved how protective Kit was of Caro but it didn’t overshadow how much he cares and respects her. Caro is so genuine and wants to help all she can as a doctor. Her work in the clinic that was opened in the honor of her sister is so admirable and I loved that her and Nick opened it. The suspense and action was taken up a notch for this story and all the twists and turns were so good. Even if it was a tense and crazy way, I loved that these two found their way back to each other.

Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin were perfect as Kit and Caro. Caro had so many emotions and Vanessa did an amazing job bringing them to life. I could feel the passion in her voice. Teddy’s performance as Kit was so good and he did great playing the sweet and protective man.

Second book in the series and a story I have been looking forward to. I mean it’s Kit….by Teddy!!!

Isn’t Caro supposed to be a professional? A smart woman? Why would she go into her medical clinic not once, seeing it has been broken into, but twice telling herself it’s someone homeless after threatening texts and two thugs harassed her there earlier in the day? Nope, that’s stupidity.

All in all the book was solid. I enjoyed it, the action and fast pace was very entertaining. Teddy and Vanessa were at the top of their game (except for one time when he mispronounced her name)!

A SUSPENSEFUL TENSE THRILLING SECOND CHANCE

This fast-paced second-chance romance is exciting and drama-filled as Kit steps in to protect ex girlfriend Caro.. his first love.. and his only love. Years earlier Caro had broken both their hearts when their incompatible lifestyles forced her to make a heartbreaking decision because Caro’s goal was to become a Doctor and Kit’s life was dangerous and on the shady side of legal. Since then Kit has cleaned up his act and each have tried to move on after their split but they never really could. And now Fate has Kit charging in to protect Caro.. unaware of the big pile of steaming poop they’ve both stepped into thanks to Caro’s ex and now they're drawn into a race against time to find a missing man.. to find answers.. and to stay alive. But there’s someone out there pulling their strings, threatening their lives, giving them ultimatums and deadlines.. and promising deadly consequences. Kit and Caro work together to succeed and to stay alive.. and along the way they both realize what they broke was precious.. what was once lost could be found again.. forgiveness is the way forward.. and so, could their love possibly be rekindled?.. if they survive.

The dual POV storyline has suspense, romance, high-octane drama, thrills, sex and sizzles, danger, heart-to-hearts, revelations and mystery as Kit and Caro race to find answers and dodge death before their time runs out. And Teddy and Vanessa brought the tension to the drama.. they infused their characters thoughts with conflict, regrets, frustrations and feels.. and the excitement and climactic action builds thanks to their wonderful narration.

Worth a credit? Yes it’s a suspenseful second-chance as the cryptic puzzle pieces are slowly dropped revealing manipulation, murder and an unknown mastermind. Everything will eventually fit into place for Kit and Caro.. but these destined soulmates will have to figure out the past wrongs.. before it feels right.

Second chance at love 💕

I just couldn’t stop listening to the story of Kit and Caro (sister to Nick “Prophet”). I loved this second chance at love, suspenseful story that kept me at the edge of my seat, curious to what would happen next.
Sweet epilogue and a HEA.

I really loved both narrators, Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton.

Not your average walk in the park!!

S. M. West did a wonderful job with Kit and Caro’s second chance at love story !! Their reunion was not your average walk in the park. It was filled with action, deception , outside manipulations, suspense and villainous people out to destroy them. However, Caro’s honesty, compassion, self- reflection and willingness to share information with those who were important to her allowed her to obtain what she wanted most,Kit! On the other hand, Kit was understanding, protective, strong-willed yet loving, forthright and his great ability to read people allowed him to see beyond certain situations. Together, Caro and Kit cemented a connection that was unflappable even in the midst of danger. Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin were fantastic narrators who brought the characters to life and enhanced my listening experience!!
