When a teenager from a wealthy suburb outside Oakland is dumped at an inner city bus stop, homicide detective Matt Sinclair catches the case. It's his first since being bumped to desk duty for a bust that went south - fast. With few leads and plenty of attention, it's the worst kind of case to help him get back up to speed. And it only gets worse as the bodies start to pile up - first at the same bus bench, then around the city. Sinclair is unable to link the victims to each other, and the killer is just getting started.

wasn't surprised by the BBEG but still enjoyed
There are couple mysteries happening at the same time. I saw the foreshadowing of the 2 major players so I wasn't shocked. However the storytelling was engaging and captivated my interest. Narrator was a perfect voice for the mc.

Horrible Reader
This was a mediocre read. The reader made it almost unbearable. She faked a really bad Brooklyn accent for detectives, which was doubly bad since the setting is L.A.

Excellent thriller that you will absolutely enjoy!
Charlene, a detective with the LA police department is busy with two high profile murder cases. One is a prominent business man's son-in-law found murdered in his mistress's apartment. The other is the The Celebrity Slayer, suspected to have killed Charlene's father.
This was a great story! It was well built up and kept me intrigued throughout. The characters were interesting and it was fast paced with constant progression towards a brilliant twist and climax.
Sharon narrated well and was a good fit for the story. She had good energy and intonation and added to my enjoyment of the story.

Like the Story - Narrator Used Accents From the Wrong Part of the Country
Story was quite good. The narrator often used accents from NY & NJ when voicing the LAPD officers. Those accents were disturbing considering they aren’t typical in So Cal.
