Not my first Helen Ellis rodeo, have read many of her essays and short stories, but this one will stand out as a personal favorite. Warm, personal, funny, and just a general delight. The cats, the husband, the box, the stickers, the pandemic viagra, and The Coral Lounge....loved all of it. Can I place all her future books on automatic pre-order? Is that a thing?

PS She does her own narration, which, much like David Sedaris, is pretty much perfect.

This book is so clever. It is funny, heartwarming and oh so relatable. Ellis so masterfully weaves wonderful life lessons into her stories. She has a real gift.
