Hmm wow!

Hmm wow! lol, so this is a why choose collage romance. It started off with the FMC getting into this all boys elite club. She’s trying to find out what happened to her friend. But in the meantime she gets pair with the 3 men in this book. Kingston, Cannon and Archer. They are out to get her to leave but that’s not so easily when they all WANT her. There is a lot of angst it will keep you on your toes and this is just the first book. The spice is this book is spicy but nothing too crazy yet. I heard it gets better. I really like Cannon out of the MMCs in this book. He doesn’t talk but his feels for her seem more real. I would definitely recommend this audio book and do plan listening to the next one soon.

Fun and sexy

The premise of the story is a little unbelievable but it’s still a of if fun. I love the main characters and how E has them all tripping over themselves for her attention. Shower scene was HOT. I also really like teddy hamilton’s voice. Great narration

Wished it was a duet

The story was great and the narrators were great. I just wish it was in a duet formate instead of the male narrator reading the FMC parts in his pov and the female narrator reading the MMC’s parts in her pov.

Well now I am hooked on this author

Wow, what an introduction to a new to me author. This book brought me so much that I love in a story all together in a perfect combination. There was a mystery building and the angsty tension. The dynamics of these characters has me so hooked and I am diving right into the next book immediately.

Good Listen

This was a good beginning to the trilogy. The narrators were great, though the female narrator did speak MUCH slower than the male narratore, which made finding a decent playback speed pretty annoying. My only critique is that the ending felt rushed. I wish there were a few more chapters before the ending.

I will definitely be continuing the series!

Teddy Hamilton saves the day

Not a great story overall, but I cannot deny the vocal talents of Teddy Hamilton. I’ll listen to anything he narrates. Worth finishing the book, but I probably won’t finish this series. Not worth my credits, tbh.

Engaging story, but FMC not emotionally deep enough

I’ve listened to a few of these books with the same plot; girl joins frat, bullied by everybody, falls for the posse of bad boys in charge, boys get territorial but continue to be jerks, conflict ensues. I’m a big fan of the storyline.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t help but compare this book to Lords of Pain… this book is very very similar but not as well written and less dark/taboo, which I wouldn’t mind if the FCM actually had feelings.

What ruined the book for me was that not only would she get over being “deeply emotionally hurt” immediately, like it didn’t even happen, but she’d get physically intimate with them right after even though she’s supposedly uncomfortable being sexual so quickly (which also didn’t seem true.)

If that had been corrected, then I would have enjoyed the story more; but honestly, listening to it just made me just wish I was listening to Lords (Royals of Forsyth Uni) instead.

Someone douse me in cold water, please! 🔥🌶🔥🌶

In book 1, Elliot needs to solve the mystery of her missing best friend, who was a pledge at Hawthorne Hall the previous year. Kingston, Canon and Archer are seniors and rule Hawthorne Hall and the last thing they need is a female pledge messing things up. This dark college bully romance brings all the heat.

This narration pairing was one of the better ones I’ve listened to. Teddy does a wonderful jo voicing all 3 males. He has given each their own unique voice and approach. And boy oy boy can he bring it during the steamy scenes. I’ve also always loved his female voice. It’s subtle and soft without being dramatic or high pitched. This was the first audio of Greyson Ash I’ve listened to and wow she can really deliver. She has such a wide range, not just for Elliot’s various emotions, but for all of the rest of the males. She now is near the top of my list of female narrators who have convincing male voices.

Although this first book centers more on Kingston, we get a glimpse of the other men’s POV in select chapters, to tease us about their own stories. There’s grace in how Leila James weaves Elliot into these 3 men’s lives. She spends the time developing the relationship between them and that’s what makes this unique and believable. In saying that, by no means is this book a slow burn. We jump in on page 1 and it’s a riveting ride all the way through.

And the sexual tension? Oh boy… Most Why Choose/Reverse harem books go head in first or are obvious about what’s going to happen. But in each of these scenes, sexual or not, you’re left with this titillating anticipation of “Will they or won’t they” and you're holding your breath in anticipation. And even if nothing happens you’re still satisfied. And THAT is what makes her writing so unique. These are some of the hottest sex scenes (and non sex scenes) I’ve ever read because of the subtle curious tension that builds up.

So much goodness

I loved this book and can’t wait to start the next one. There’s mystery, competitiveness, scorching hot scenes, and great narration. Teddy is especially amazing in this one!!! I mean he’s great all the time but this one, shoo, he’s second to none!
