About this listen

Cruel. Heartless. Quarantined. The ruthless boys of Everlake Prep never saw lockdown coming. But the virus isn’t their number one enemy. I am.

And as if being confined to a boarding school for the elite wasn’t bad enough, now I’m stuck in isolation with the boys who hate me most too.

Saint, Kyan, and Blake. The Night Keepers. Or so they call themselves. They’ve embodied the Native American legend which lives in this valley, taking on the role of the monsters who lurk in the forest. And though they act like beasts, they may also be the most tempting creatures I’ve ever seen.

With the virus escalating and my dad’s name splashed through the news, my entire world is falling apart. What he did has cast a dark shadow over me. And the Night Keepers want to make me pay for his crimes.

Then things went from bad to worse when I touched the sacred rock. A rock which supposedly holds a curse to bind me as the Night Keepers’ slave. And as crazy as it sounds, I decided to play along. Because there are things about me they don’t know. Things my dad has hidden from me for years. All I can be sure of is that I have to find a way to escape this school. But until then, those savage boys are making my life a living hell.

As the virus sweeps through the country and the world twists into something ugly and unknown, the kings of this school become true monarchs. Even the teachers bow to them now. And I’m kinda glad about that ‘stay six feet away from one another’ rule, because without it, I know they’d rip me apart.

At least there’s a silver lining. I’m cosying up to Coach Monroe. My hot as hell, brooding P.E. teacher who has a vendetta of his own against the Night Keepers. And with his help, I may succeed at doing more than escaping the clutches of these heartless fiends. I might even destroy them along the way.

My father taught me how to be strong. How to prepare for the end of the world. So this isn’t going to be the end of my world, mark my words. But if I’m able to use my mind and body to bring these assholes to their knees, it might just be the end of theirs.

This is a high school bully reverse harem series which means the main character will end up with multiple love interests. It may have triggers for some as it has off the charts angst, dark love-hate themes, scenes of intense bullying, sexual scenes, and some violence (not aimed towards the main character) and is not for the faint of heart. Prepare to enrol at Everlake Prep. Bring your hand sanitiser, face masks and toilet paper to barter with, but don’t expect to hold onto them for long."

action packed

This book is intense. And I loved it. Alot of bullying but I love the female character's resilience. Each of the characters are a little too perfect and literally get away with anything. I didnt love the idea of a quarantine novel but I really like the author so thought I'd at least try. I binged it and don't see anything getting done in my life til I get through this whole series.

bully romance

I was pretty surprised at how good this was. I like the dynamics between the characters.

Addicting!

Another addictive book by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. I listened to the audible when I could not read. These characters just pull me in. They are all so vicious, I honestly didn't know if I'd like any of them but by the end I kinda do. Monroe was an instant favorite of mine. I found myself laughing a lot. Tatum is such a kick ass character. I love that she doesn't show them any of her weaknesses and if she does not for long. Saint is very hard for me to like right now so we will see. I can't wait to continue on with this series.

Great Book / Speaker is OK

The boook is really good. The concept is definitely different and I’ve read many bully romances / reverse harems.

The one complaint is that one of the speakers has a slight lisp. I’m the type of person where once I notice something, I can’t unfocus from it and it’ll bother me constantly. So if you’re type of person, then be warned!

Great RH BUT trigger warnings!!!

I love everything written by these two authors and the narration is always on point, though Zodiac Academy and Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac I believe are a bit more in point with the fantasy aspect that I find enjoyable for reading. Waiting for the next book on both to be released on Audible (I listen while I work). This is a good series in the meantime. EXTREME trigger warnings. The bully trope is a bit intense on this one so, if you're sensitie abuse undertones it may not be for you, HOWEVER the story lines are just so good! great character development that doesn't feel rushed.

Angsty. Enthralling. Delicious.

The narrators blew me away. They truly brought the story to life and dragged me into the pages. Even with multiple characters they were able to give each their own individual voice, adding a depth I immediately became addicted to. It was brain meltingly awesome. Their chemistry was magic, electrifying and delicious. They had such a palpable angst. I couldn’t get enough.

Well worth a listen. Narrators that know what they’re doing. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Their voices enthralled me.

Loved the suspense

I read this series months ago and couldn’t find time to read again. So I purchased the audio and love it even more. So many twists and turns throughout.

I’m so torn on how I feel, but it’s goooood!

On the surface this is a prep school for the ridiculous rich. There are three a$$bags that do things that would never fly in real life but it’s a book right so.... In comes the girl, normal rich, down to earth, owns her mind, body, self. Also, there is a very young, hot, relatively new teacher with an axe to grind against the a$$bags. Somewhat normal “for college” shenanigans ensue. Then the girls dad is blamed for a pandemic, this pandemic has a 60% death rate within one week and is viscous. This makes her life at new school awful! She pledges herself to the three a$$bags for reasons you have to read cause I hate giving away plot spoilers. There is a very creepy two-day lockdown with the teacher that has me borderline ready to call the cops. Then the end of the book happens and I HAVE to have book 2. The book is well written and I’m loving the slow build of all the characters back stories. The characters are also growing already, which I love.

Here’s my two problems, as someone who loves paranormal books when I read “normal” books they have to be somewhat plausible, I get that it’s fiction but I wrote plausible. The way these kids act in high school is not plausible at all. Nest, as an adult, I know high school kids are having sex but is it appropriate for this to be a series for adults? I kept trying to trick myself into trading their high school for a really small college. Because 18 at HS and 18 at college are two different things. This is why I’m torn.

Love the story and Naration

This was my first extreme Bully series that I have read. It was a little hard to take at first, but I discovered I truly like this trope. The writers did an amazing job with the story. The narrators made this book amazing. The best dual narration I have heard in a long time. The male voices are 🥵🥵🥵 I will definitely be searing for more books by these narrators and authors. If you do not like a Bully books you will not like this book. If you have bully triggers then I would not read this one. The Heroine is a fighter and doesn’t take it lying down. The guys are not nice but they also do not sexually force anything. Just wanted to put that out there.

Amazing

I absolutely love this book! Being able to listen to it as the narrators bring it to life was so much better than I ever thought possible! I cannot wait to be able to listen to the rest.
