Interminal battles

Have made it through the first two books of this series and have to say that, for military buffs, this series must be great. However, I am not a military buff and found the excruciating detail of the non-stop battles to be so much filler. Since well over half of both books consists of such filler, I’ll have to pass on any forthcoming volumes.

Simon Vance killing it as always and the story is so good I’ve already got the rest of the series waiting for me definitely in my top ten favorites

Great story line if you have the patience…. Definitely downloading the next one. In it till the end.

Another Great Book!

This was a great read. Edge of your seat moments, seeing up a hopefully fulfilling conclusion. I'm off now to read book 3.

This is a good book. I very much enjoyed it. Well written and performed. I don’t want to wait to read the next one.

Good story confusing at times.

So many similar names and things happening, it gets very confusing switching between scenarios. You need to pay attention.

Good read that kind of just ends

The read is smooth and enjoyable, but the end is nonexistent. I don't expect every single thread to be sewn tight, but there needs to be a more established end to the specific events of the book. almost every single story line just stops. see you next book? that's not a good way to transition, imo.

Beyond Outstanding

There were times when the detail was a little thick (for my mind) and the parade of battles became a bit tedious and exhausting (like battles are). It would have been better to seed in more upbeat, inspirational, and especially humorous scenes as rests/relief. BUT, I am completely amazed at the mind of the writer and the skills of the narrator. This puts many of the best to the test. I have listened to hundreds of hours of audio in my travels and this is in the top five.

world building is epic

the story features great depths of world building and character development. narration is perfect match. well done.
