From swallowing the crack cocaine and breaking down before retirement, each story and event has so much value to pull from. Highly recommend and don’t judge a book by its cover.

The best to do it…

Man, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have the hard copy but I’m glad I purchased the audio version as well. I’m a couple years older than Ward and traveled through some of the same areas in the Bay as Ward. I felt as if we were riding in a car, with me in the passenger seat and he was telling me his..story. I remember the how boxers were when Ward was on the scene. I felt, especially after fighters fought Ward, nobody wanted to face him. The way he carried himself is honorable and should be celebrated more. I’m glad he yielded to what the Lord was telling him in his life when it counted the most. I’m not sure if most people could turn away from that much money. But, the Lord will give you beauty for ashes for a small sacrifice. Great book, I’ll be listening to this book again for sure, to dig up some of the gold nuggets I got from the first read.

The Power of GOD

I truly appreciate this story. Andre Ward is one of my top 5 of all time. it's a blessing to know that he shares the same faith as myself. I love the fact that it's based off his faith in Christ. it's a true motivation because we overcome by hearing each other's testimonies and most importantly the blood of the Lamb.
