There she meets her partner, former police officer John Glass, who is now working as a dance instructor on a cruise liner. Elly Griffiths has always written short stories to experiment with different voices and genres as well as to explore what some of her fictional creations such as Ruth Galloway, Harbinder Kaur, and Max Mephisto might have done outside of the novels. The Man in Black gathers these bite-sized tales all together in one splendid volume.

Love Love Love
First, I must say that Penelope Keith, you're voice is one I can't wait to hear. Agatha has a VERY special place in my heart and as soon as the book started and your voice began, I was instantly happy! I stumstumbled upon Agatha about a year and a half ago and blew through the series. When I dove into M.C. Beaton, I was very sad to learn she had passed and nervous Greene wouldn't be able to copy her tone. I'm SO happy to see that Agatha continues to be just as fantastic and brilliant as she was when I first met her, lying about her quiche! 😂 Thank you for an other WONDERFUL book! I hate that it's over already. I'll revisit it soon I'm sure! keep em' coming!

New author gets character traits wrong
Longtime fans of Agatha will notice dialogue that she would never say. Even James has some out of character lines. It would be much better if the new author would read or listen to all of the audiobooks. Then he could get it exactly right.

Penelope Keith in her element
