About this listen
Sadie Perkins has a sixth sense about things - especially people dying. Her clairvoyance has never bothered her until she starts to believe that her visions are causing the deaths of those around her. After her latest relationship ends badly, Sadie swears off love for good. While searching for an uncomplicated life, Sadie finds her hands full not only with a home renovation project but with defending herself against suspicion of murder. There's a fine line between predicting someone's death and causing it. Has Sadie finally crossed that line?
Enter contractor Max Schultz, who is not only good at working on houses, but he's good at working on Sadie too. Much to Max's dismay, as he's trying to win Sadie's heart, he finds Sadie's first love, Henry Fitzsimmons, is back in the picture, snooping around.
Sadie doesn't know which way to turn or who to trust, including herself. Can Sadie clear her name and open her heart all at the same time?

Story
It doesn't get more complicated than sleeping with your twin sister's boyfriend...unless he doesn't even realize he slept with the wrong sister. But that was 10 years ago and Rio Pascucci doesn't do complicated - anymore. She's as hard-working, straight-forward as they come. She put that mess behind her when she left her train-wreck of a twin sister back in Ohio. Now, independent Rio is unprepared for this twist. His name is Ian McCallister, and this is where it gets tricky. Ian and Rio were best friends growing up. Complication number one: The friend zone.

During my 30 years on this planet, I've made a lot of poor decisions pursuing my ideal man. It may have something to do with my slight obsession with romantic comedies, especially those of the British variety. I mean, if Bridget Jones could find her Mr. Darcy, surely I can too, right?

Story
What do you do when a sexy older man moves into your family’s summer rental? Well, apparently, you make a fool of yourself - over and over. Things didn’t exactly get off on the right foot with Noah Cavallari. Our first encounter was embarrassing, to say the least. But despite that, I found myself waking up every day with a newfound energy. Nothing exciting ever happened on the lake - not until Noah moved into the small boathouse on our property. When my mother became ill, I inherited the responsibility of making sure our guests were well taken care of.

Josh Bennett’s story is no secret: Every person he loves has been taken from his life until, at 17 years old, there is no one left. Now all he wants is be left alone and people allow it because when your name is synonymous with death, everyone tends to give you your space.

Another great one by Kathryn Biel
Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this book! The story is fun and romantic with a mysterious twist. Kathryn's characters are always so recognizable and easy to identify with. This story kept me on my toes the whole way through. I kept changing my mind about who the main character would end up with. This is a truly easy read/listen, I can't wait for the next one!

Just not good
This book was hard to finish. The narrator was horrible and the story was just as bad. it was equal to watching a movie where the actors reeeaaallllyyyy over act. The voices were annoying and the MC whined all the time and was an idiot. I dont normally write bad reviews for anything but this book was bad.

Chick Lit, Mystery & Suspense!
Any additional comments?
I really like Kathyrn Biel's writing. She keeps me engaged throughout the book. Always wondering what will happen next. This book was no exception. The characters are believable and sympathetic. The story is compelling and easy to follow. There's a little of everything in this one. Chick Lit, Mystery, Suspense and a bit of Supernatural stuff. Really fun! I listened to this in a couple of days because I just had to know the ending! It was worth it! The only negative with this audiobook is the narrator's delivery. It was kind of mechanical. She has a pleasant enough voice but she just didn't add to my enjoyment of the book.

What did you like best about Killing Me Softly? What did you like least?
I think the story would have good if I could get past the narration. Could not finish so I can't review the actual story
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Dawnya Clarine?
anyone, maybe Angela Dawe, Therese Plummer or Christina Traister. These are some of my favorites. Their male voices said like males. Their reading is great.

Terrible narration!!
I had to stop listening to this book because the narration was so bad. It sounded like the worst acting you have ever heard. The narrator speaks to loud and that mixed with her voice gave me a headache. I don't know if the story would have improved as it was a bit slow but I couldn't stand the book anymore and had to stop listening.
