Courageous Faith

It was inspiring and heart wrenching to hear these saints serving Jesus despite the threats to their lives.

Inspiring

Wow!

First, a minor complaint (for me, anyway). Mostly, the narration was fine. The one thing that I really did not like was when the narrator imitated a woman's voice. There is one particular story, where he is imitating two women talking, and it pulled me out of the story. Maybe I'm overreacting? Anyway, I still enjoyed it overall.

I read and hear of the things that happen to modern persecuted believers. But, to hear of particular individuals and their stories really makes it more meaningful

I know that not all who follow Jesus will experience what these people do. Nevertheless, the reality of His love and strength in their lives makes me even more aware of my hollow 'Christianity', and makes me question whether I am really following Him at all.

it will make your faith real

This was an outstanding book. The stories you hear are true and encouraging. The book ends with a message from believers in the middle east they dont want us to feel sorry for them. I think the church in America should be pitied more than anything. We are weak and shallow but maybe this book will help us get serious.

Absolutely the very best thing to read and focus on right now as Christians, in the United States ,to focus on what is real in the world ( real persecutions )and the power of Jesus to save the soul that longs to know the truth.

Game Changer

There is no way to read this book without a responce. if these stories dont compelle you to share Jesus more intentionally, regardless of context of ministry situation, dear friend you will never do it. A must read for those serious about Jesus and His commission.
