About this listen

Romance novelist Julie just moved into her dream rental—a lake house. Only the gorgeous jerk who is fixing up the place is still living there, a detail the landlord didn’t mention. To get Max out of her house ASAP, she helps renovate. With any luck, she’ll fix his broody attitude while she’s fixing the house.

Julie and the Fixer Upper is a novella and the first book in the Lake Sterling series of sweet contemporary romances. Each book can be listened to as a stand-alone. Dive into Lake Sterling and fall in love today!

Ruined by Horrible Narration

Unfortunately, this is another case of a cute story ruined by bad narration. It sounds as if Meghan Kelly is reading the story for the first time. Even worse, she assumes a whiny tone throughout that makes you actually dislike the main character. No one wants to spend two hours with someone who sounds that miserable.
