About this listen
Welcome to Sector House 301, the isolated dumping ground for Mega-City One's every misfit and foul-up Judge. Nicknamed The Pit, the sector house holds many dark secrets, and the discovery of one of them may have led to the death of Sector Chief Rohan.
Sent to take over The Pit is Judge Dredd. Together with a small team of trusted Judges, he uncovers a trail of deceit and murder that leads to the very top levels of command. The only question is, will Dredd live long enough to bring the culprits to Justice?
Featuring Joseph Fiennes as Dredd, and an ensemble cast including Paterson Joseph and Patricia Rodriguez, fans of Judge Dredd and newcomers to Mega City One alike will be transported to brutal dystopian world Dredd for an immersive listening experience like no other.

Story
United States of America, AD 2041. Eustace Fargo's new justice system has been in effect for eight years. The old days of waiting times and backlogs are over: judgement is quick, and sentencing is instantaneous. The old police academies have all shut down, and the new order is triumphant. But are things any better? Unrest is worse than ever. Criminals are more likely to kill rather than be caught. There's a war coming for the streets.

In Mega-City One a brutal murder is discovered, seemingly of unnatural origin. Around the globe there is a massive surge in psychic phenomena as people fall prey to visions and religious mania. It seems that the world is on the brink of a psychic apocalypse and Psi-Judge Anderson must travel into the heart of Tibet to find the source of the disturbance! This collection bring together the very best of Alan Grant's (Lobo) and Arthur Ranson's (Button Man) work on this iconic comics character.

Critic reviews
"This audio adaptation is a strong showcase for one of the lawman's most underrated storylines. Fans of both the character and audio drama should enjoy its intricate plotting, high production values and sharp writing." (Starburst Magazine)
"Suitably gritty and grounded story of police corruption that will, perhaps more than any of the other 2000 AD releases, appeal to those with absolutely no prior knowledge of either Judge Dredd or the Galaxy's Greatest Comic." (Big Comic Page)
"Once again, the makers excelled themselves" (Life of Die)

Story
In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

Story
Judge, jury, and executioner, Judge Dredd is the brutal comic book cop policing the chaotic future urban jungle of Mega-City One, created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra and launching in the pages of 2000 AD in 1977. But what began as a sci-fi action comic quickly evolved into a searing satire on hardline, militarized policing and "law and order" politics, its endless inventiveness and ironic humor acting as a prophetic warning about our world today—and with important lessons for our future.

Joseph Fiennes!!!!!!
My favorite actor of all time--See Martin Luther/Risen/Hercules, etc--does a spectacular job bringing gravitas to the most hardcore judge of all time. he really adds multiple layers to Dredd that I never imagined. The performances, almost all of them were amazing, and I loved all the sound effects and background music. This is one that has to be experienced.

A decent Judge Dredd story is still a great story
Great narration. Decent Dredd voice acting. Interesting characters. I do prefer the traditional more gritty cold Dredd.
