Interesting cast of characters

A very interesting sci-fi adventure and bit of slice-of-life.
This story felt like it would have been a great side story in the Star Wars or Star Trek universes, but it is written as if it's happening in our future here in our solar system.
Great writing and narration (even though there's quite a few mispronounced words).
It makes you feel like you are there on the spaceship, sharing the adventure and their home in space.
I am looking forward to the next book to see what happens next.

a nice start

this book was a very nice start. space opera isn't touched much nowadays with the boom in fantasy books and it's great that the genre is getting some love.
The narrators were great and I hope to listen more from them

Check This One Out

Right up front before you read any further just know that I recommend this book to anybody thinking about giving it a shot. A little context for my review. I tend to take it easy on the first and last book of any series as not every series makes it to “The End” and the first of anything can be a shaky endeavor. This was kind of an interesting setup with the father daughter team on the spaceship running a route in the solar system. The ship was a fixer upper, and the daughter is an adult. We're getting a new crew member right at the beginning that the daughter seems to be crushing on but there's more beyond her libido. This engineer has got a secret past that even a high-level diplomat the father knows doesn't seem to be able to get answers about. The mother is out of the scene not having been satisfied with the constant movement. What I view as the main character, which is the father, used to be a banker and then wanted to get out of the office. It was definitely something where I had to get farther into the story before it grabbed me. For me personally the first impression wasn't that great but when it comes to the first book the main question is always whether or not I found it entertaining and the answer is yes. From there it's what I like to see a sequel and again the answer is yes. For right now it's just this book out, so I'd like to take the time to recommend another story from this author that I enjoyed. That would be another space adventure called “Earth's First Starfighter.” The narration team also did an amazing job with their performance. For them I'd like to recommend you checking out “Blightmage” which might be a little dark, so I'll also recommend “The Ascension Game.” Lastly, I'll just say well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us, the Audible listeners.

Another great book by Han Yang. You will not be disappointed. Also the dual narration really brings the story to life. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Nice start

I received a free copy to leave an unbiased review. I found this was a good start. I was a bit disappointed that they couldn't put two and two together. This was an amazing start, and I need more.

Space the final frontier

I'm a major sci-fi fan so the premises was already had my attention. Listening kept me hooked to where I can wait for the next part . The world that was created really does draw you in so that your on the edge of your seat

Great book

I thought the book was very good. I love a good sci-fi mystery and I thought the aliens were very well done.

Also, the narrators are top tier, I could listen to Hannah's voice all day long.

They don't make spaceships like they used to

I really enjoyed this book. it's about a Father and daughter that bought an old ship a few years back and have made it uniquely theirs. They hire an engineer with a few gaps in his past. the story is entertaining and keeps you listening. the performance is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone
