my favorite author
James Herriot's depiction of his journeys with animals is nothing but heart warming and captivating. He has a way of making you laugh and cry on the same page.

Wonderful
I loved this. If this is your first James Herriot book you are in for a real treat.I have listened many times to the four volume series of James Herriot. I was familiar with all of these stories but I really enjoyed the added tidbits. Did you know that Mrs. Pumphrey helped the first Chinese restaurant in Darrowby to succeed by eating there with Tricky Wu? James Herriot also talks about his other dogs and his last dog, Bodie, who brought him the most pleasure of all.

James Herriot’s Dog Stories
Oh, I do enjoyed these stories. The narrator was perfect. I could picture the dogs, people and scenery like I was there. I read a number of James Herriot books years ago. Can’t wait to listen to them now.

Like visiting old friends
Animal lovers will forever delight in Herriot's books - no matter what age! Herriot brings out the personalities of the animals as well as their intimate bonds with their human families.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Have listened to all James Herriot's books on Audible -- so knew the stories. It was still enjoyable to hear some of the best again in this compilation.

all James Herriot's stories are TERRIFIC
His stories may go back over 70 years, but I cherish each and every story. I laugh, I cry and I learn. Everyone should enjoy such stories.
