Beautiful and comforting.
I wish it was longer. Although, I won’t mind listening again and again. I love cats and James Herriot books. Excellent narration and very good production. No weird background noises like in some of the other Herriot books narrated by Christopher Timothy.

Great Stories, but duplicated from other books

I really love Christopher Timothy as reader. He really acts his reading, doing voices, sounds, and everything in just the right tones and inflections to keep the listener engaged. I loved these cat stories, they were great! However, as a warning to others, if you've already read the four longer books in his series (All Creatures, All Things B&B, and All Things W & W), then you'll find that all these cat stories are repeats from those books. I only ordered it after listening to those others because I was hoping to hear one specific cat story I remember reading as a short story when I was a kid. It wasn't in here, so the book was 100% repeat for me. Enjoyed it thoroughly and did listen to it all the way thru.

A wonderful read or listen in this case.
James Harriot is an excellent storyteller. His experiences are very interesting as a Veterinarian and as a pet owner. He has a great love and compassion shows through as he cares for all these lovely animals. If you are an animal lover and with the case of this book, a cat lover, you will thoroughly enjoy "James Harriot's Cat Stories". I have throughly enjoyed all of his books and have listened to them over and over again.
