About this listen

After fighting a goblin army, befriending an ancient werewolf, and battling two fire breathing dragons during his adventures at the Monster Hunter Academy, Jack Templar hoped for a rest. No such luck. In this third adventure of the Jack Templar Monster Hunter series, Jack embarks on a quest to track down and acquire the first of five mythical Jerusalem Stones, an ancient power source found by his ancestors, the Templar Knights. Only the reunited Stones can stop Ren Lucre, the Dark Lord who holds Jack's father hostage and prepares for an all-out war against an unsuspecting human world. A different Creach Lord holds each Stone, and recovering them will not be easy. Jack and his friends begin their quest by seeking out a powerful and terrifying adversary, the Lord of the Vampires. The fate of the world rests on Jack's shoulders and he will be tested like never before. Join Jack Templar on his most dangerous journey yet, but remember that doing so makes you part of his world. Read this book only if you are prepared to battle the Creach and live by the monster hunter motto. Because to survive, you must... Do your duty, come what may!

Series getting better.

The beginning is a little confusing at first, but after that the story picks up and it is one adventure after another. Like the rest of the series it took me a bit to get into the story, but by the end I was invested and was thoroughly enjoying the story. I'm not a huge fan of a Eva and how both Jack and Daniel are so gaga over her, but it is a kids book and that is only a small part of the story. I'm not a fan of the narrator, I know that I would have like this book better if it wasn't for the narrator.

A Movie would be scare

If you could sum up Jack Templar and the Lord of the Vampires in three words, what would they be?

Interesting
Adventure
Action

What other book might you compare Jack Templar and the Lord of the Vampires to and why?

Percy Jackson Books. It has the quest, adventure, action, and monsters.

What does Ben Kass bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ben Kass does a nice job of narrating but he sound older than 14.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh. This is a fantasy.

Any additional comments?

The characters are supposed to be around 14 yrs old. I have not seen the maturity or bravery the characters display in 14-year-olds. If most 14-year-olds faced the monsters in this book, they would be running to their mommies.
