About this listen

Karen Harris, commander of Unit T, had come to the streets of London in an effort to curb the activities of an Italian cartel engaged in prostitution and abduction across Europe and beyond. Alongside this, many young homeless in the city are going missing with nothing being done about it. Karen starts investigating an agency that not only rents out companions but is involved in more-sinister operations. The interconnected problems lead to Karen going covert in an attempt to get at the truth, with an operation that pushes her and her friend, Sherry Malloy, to the limit.

Karen is about to learn the real truth concerning the fate of the missing teenagers. Even worse, she can do nothing about it. But if the truth ever became public, the revelations could shake the very foundations of civilized society - not only in Britain but across Europe.

The Trafficker series once again takes the listener deep into the very dangerous world of the criminals engaged not only in drugs but in people trafficking, which exists in every town and city. It is not for the faint hearted but nevertheless makes for compulsive listening.

Author's note: Italian Connection is the sequel to Russian Connection, but the book can be enjoyed as a standalone story.

Slow Moving Story

Any additional comments?

This my first book of a people tracker series, it does have dull boring moment but I enjoyed Gaynor voice. Good job Gaynor!

Had To Stop Listening

Some may like reading about rape, abduction, I do not. Had to stop listening.

Very dull

What disappointed you about Italian Connection?

The caricature-like characters are simpletons and their dialogue is a drag

What was most disappointing about Keith Hoare’s story?

Apart from the one-dimensional characters, I was put off by the jumps between scenarios that are hard to understand.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Gaynor M. Kelly?

Nigel Carrington.

Any additional comments?

I get the feeling this book was written with a TV serial in mind.

Gripping, horrifying

This story, based on an all-too real life hell, is well told with power and honesty by Gaynor Kelly.

I just felt dirty

I am a few chapters in and thus far all I have heard is story after story of rape, physical abuse, and child molestation. I purchased the book because I like action and adventure. There hasn't been much action and the story line has hardly shown how one rape relates to the next. Seems to be a book for those who just enjoy hearing vivid details on rape and abuse not necessarily action and adventure. Rape, rape, and more rape, and still the author probably asked..."do you think I added enough rape". Not for me, cannot listen any more.
