About this listen

What do you do when your planet runs out of women? Send for takeout, of course.

Joran, Crown Prince of Pyros, needs to claim his mate in order to ascend to the throne one day. The problem? His destined mate isn’t on Pyros.

When a galaxy-wide search uncovers a backwater world full of potential mates for Joran and the other unmated males on his planet, plans are set in motion and Star-Crossed Dating is created. Now, the first wave of men are on their way to claim their unsuspecting brides. Joran’s mission: Go to Earth, claim his mate, and bring her back to Pyros. How hard could it be?

This audiobook contains a redheaded barista who doesn’t believe in aliens and a prince who is used to getting anything he wants without having to work for it...until now.

Wonderful!

When you start with a great story and add a narrator who seems to care about what she's reading, you end up with a wonderful experience! Tieran managed to make each character sound different and the emotion with which she delivered the story was palpable. She really did this amazing story justice!

I can't wait to listen to the next one in the series and I highly recommend this book to everyone!

scortching

I had read this book when it first came out and now the audio made it better. I loved the story. A Prince forced to take a mate, but not just any woman. His mate the gods had made for him. Maggie is a human who gave up on fairytales and dreams along time ago. So she is obviously skeptical when Joran is chosen as her match. I love her fiery temper and the way she puts Joran in his place ... several times. And the heat? Well it is called the scortching for a reason.

Short, but we'll worth it

Best mail order bride story ever. The story had depth and even though short , it was well worth it. The narrator was very good also. Definitely going to the next book.

Nice calm and considerate voice for Joran

The narrator lends Joran a calm and considerate voice for when Maggie is upset. I liked listening to this short story and will be listening to more.

Too short

I wish this story was much longer! I love it! Straight to the point no off on another venture that had nothing to do with the story!

Joran

I thought this book would be a little pedantic but no. It was light and very enjoyable. It had all of the sexual enjoyment without being crude. Good start for a series.

This is a fun and sexy fairytale from out of space

This is a fun and sexy fairytale from out of space. Three friends (earth women) are tired of dating trolls so they agree to give a new dating app a try. This is Maggie’s story. Maggie is a barista just getting by. When the hot hunk that wanders into the shop at closing time turns out to be her date she is suspicious. Maggie proves to Joran that not all earth girls are easy but she is worth everything he has to do to make her his queen.

a little boring

Very little plot. I really believe this book could be great but it feels like it was rushed and underdeveloped.
