About this listen

In a spellbinding new Argeneau novel from New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands, a dangerous rescue is just the beginning of red-hot adventure.

Ever since Domitian Argenis recognized Sarita as his life mate, he's been waiting for the perfect moment to claim her. Those fantasies did not include him being chained to a table in a secret lab or both of them being held hostage by a mad scientist. Somehow, they have to escape.

Sarita has seen some crazy things as a cop, but nothing to rival Domitian. A vampire? Seriously? But his healing ability, his incredible powers, and their mind-blowing physical connection - none of it should be possible, yet her body knows differently. Now, not only do they have to save each other, but other innocent lives are at stake. Failure is not an option, for Sarita intends that Domitian show her exactly what an eternity of pleasure feels like.

Unfortunately Not What I Am Used To.

They story was on par with others in the series but I could not finish listening to it. i had to finish it in print.

The style used for the reading reminded me of the over acting of old radio shows and the accents were ... distracting.

I am sure there are some that loved it... but it was not mu cup of tea and I won't be trying to listen to another with this reader.

A bit slower than the rest of the series.

Last third of the book better than the first two thirds. Kind of creepy with the type of villain in this. Some of the peripheral characters were very interesting. Nice to have former characters show up.

Performance Horrible!!!! Unbelievable!

lucien and eshe sounded terrible. when did eshe become some southern black stereotype? why did lucien sound like a mexican pirate? i expected him to start saying Argh! Me Matee!

The accents were horrible! it ruined the story for me. come to think about it the accents of the main characters were far out too . Sarita sounds like she just stepped off the boat but grew up and worked as a police officer in Canada!

Story was AMAZING but narrator was horrendous!

Because it was so horrendous I must say FIRST, the narrator was God awful! He was so horrible and over the top I couldn't take anything seriously. I am a huge fan of the Argeneanu series & have never rated a story below 5 BUT this narrator is a joke. I mean, really, if you can read this book - pass on the audio version. We have a couple months until the next book in this series is released anyway.
Aside from the terrible narrator, this book was one of the best!! There are twists & turns at all corners! I was on the edge of my seat... nothing was expected and I loved the humor AND the characters.
I have fallen In love with the Argeneau's & the Note's! *sigh* I'm just waiting for my life mate to come and scoop me up!

Well done Mrs. Leslie!

Narrator is Cringe Worthy

I don’t believe I’ve ever left a review based on the narrator, but the moment Lucian’s voice scratched out of my headphones I knew this was going to be a long read. I LOVE this series, and this book is no exception! If you can stand the scratchy and screeching character voices, along with the Unsolved Mysteries dulled out narration then give it a go! Do not let this horrid narrator divert from the amazing stories of the Argeneau series!

Narrator sucked.

He did some of the accents so badly that it was distracting. The storyline was not one of her best.

The reader is so bad, I can't even stand to listen

I love Lynsay Sands' books, but the reader on this one is so bad that I can't even get passed the 3rd chapter without my ears bleeding. I do hope she never uses this one again. I'm just glad I have it in Kindle so I can read it because I can't listen to it. This is the first time I've been so disgusted with a reader of her books that I would rather read it myself, and as I've yet to do so myself, I can't really rate the story and don't know how. Lynsay, I am so sorry to give the story such a bad rating but I just can't get passed this reader's voice.

Enjoyable!

I liked this particular Argeneau romance more than the usual ones because it didn't have a main female character that panicked/whined/angsted (is that a word?) over the whole "vampire" thing. While I've enjoyed the previous novels in the series, sometimes the ladies are a bit annoying and overly dramatic about finding out about the immortals. Would still enjoy the series all over again though, and look forward to the next in the series.

Worst narrator ever!!!!

I am a HUGE fan of this series and have loved every book so far.. With that said I have to say I was definitely disappointed with this one.. The narrator was SOOOO bad it made it hard to even finish the book.. At times I was forcing myself through it which is very surprising because I am such a big fan of the series! The reading & character voices were just so bad it just killed it for me..

The other issue I had was there just seemed to be a lack of connection between the two main characters but again that could have been from the awful narrating.. If Possible I would love to see this re-recorded with a different narrator.. All of the previous narrators where great!! Looking forward to the next book and pray to never have Durant narrator for any of sands books again!!!
