Publisher's summary

Book number six in New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Samantha Chase's popular Montgomery series.

This Montgomery Has a Head for Business

Working for Zach Montgomery is challenging on many levels - coming from a wealthy and powerful family, he lives by his own rules and doesn't answer to anyone. But Gabriella Martine has no intention of backing down. She's used to handling stubborn men, and it doesn't hurt that Zach is smart, charismatic...and gorgeous.

And a Heart for Adventure

Zach's perfect world is turned upside down when a climbing accident leaves him broken, angry, and maddeningly dependent. In his slow quest for recovery, Gabriella is always there to help...but as Zach comes to see his beautiful assistant in a new light, he is forced to reevaluate what it really means to be a man worthy of Gabriella's love.

This man never seemed to learn by his past.

For a top executive, this arrogant, self centered and totally annoying character, Zach Montgomery seems to be a total man-child.
Gabriel also seems to be a woman who has a lot going for her, but has her own personal hangups.
A pair made for each other!

I can't

Any time an author can tell a story so good that the reader loathes a character as if they were real, now that's a phenomenal storyteller.

I absolutely hate Zack! He isn't worthy of Gabby. He is an insecure and verbally abusive man that needs counseling. He throws the word love around as if he is offering a salutation. I am so over him. And Gabby is a woman, like most women, with a hard exterior with a desire to be loved unconditionally. I just wanted her to obtain the euphoric love she deserved.

Btw, great read.

I'll Be There

I'll Be There. I enjoyed most of this series but this one made me cross. Zach had an bad accident then spent most of the book feeling sorry for himself. He was already a bad tempered guy picking on his sister before the accident. The way he spoke to Gabriella many times but after a male friend from her past abused her lost me. He knew what this guy had done to her but for no reason verbally abused her and that was enough for me was so sick of the book. She forgave him that many times it was ridiculous. Wouldn't bother with this one.

Not bad but also not necessary for the series

I could have gone either way on this. I did not find the story to be very good. This H is so self centered that he really is incapable of seeing what is right in front of him. And years go by before he talks to his friend about it so he could get some insight. He was just that okay with treating the woman he loves like that, without trying to find out why she said what she said. Punishing her for something that isn't her fault. Ruining your chances with her because you are still recovering. Also, she just runs away, nope. I would have shown back up to work the very next day to shove it in his face. She knows why he reacted the way he did and I know everyone has their breaking point but she is stronger than that, historically speaking. This conflict seemed a little forced and made the H a total d*ck. Like unlovable kind of d*ck. He seriously was incapable of seeing his wrong doings until someone else pointed them out to him the whole entire book. When things were good, he was good but the second things didn't go his way, he was a big baby. Not most desirable kind of H.

I was there

Another Samantha Chase hit! I loved it. Zach and Gabriella were meant to be from day one but they've got plenty of obstacles in their way. Seeing this relationship flourish and struggle really pulled me in. Thanks Samantha for keeping us all entertained!!!!

Only one problem

I enjoyed the story, loved the family and the relationships between them. My issue was with Gabriella. One minute she’s strong and confident and the next she doesn’t stand up for herself. Also with all the times Zach was horrible to her she let him off the hook with no effort at the end. Despite even saying that she wanted him to work for her forgiveness!!

Great 1st half, but...

The storybstarts great, where we find Zac Montgomery on leave CEO recuperating from serious injuries incurred from a fall while extreme climb of Mt. McKinley (previous book details the event). Unfortunately, Zac is feeling sorry for himself when his p.t. is not getting him back on his feet fast enough. The board of his company plans to replace him if he doesn't take his recovery more seriously... Bam bam baaa... Enter the polished feisty, brilliant executive assistant who knows Zac better than he knows himself. If anyone can get Zac in shape it's Gabriela. Exxccept after working together for 5 years they both secretly love each other. Both avoiding work place romance and all it's nasty complications, they go about dealing with their repressed feelings in very different ways. Zac uses hostility directed at Gabby to keep her away = verbal abuse. Gabby takes all his abuse with feigned indifference. She is one strong self assured women... until she's not.

Half way through this confident gorgeous women allows herself to not only be used as a punching bag but a doormat too, excusing & forgiving this undeserving man-child, over and over and over and over. What gives Gabby. All in the name of love, really? Does she finally have enough and kick him to the curb? yes but then...
