About this listen

Life in 1925 Atlanta, Georgia, makes Truck realize three things:

He must demand respect …

Be uncompromising in the protection of his family …

And see Josephine for who she really is …

When his family is faced with losing everything, Truck embarks on a path from which there is no turning back. Ignite is a complicated tale of passion and unconditional love while navigating the Jim Crow South.

Authentic Characters

Didn't like the ENDING!! Just ride off in the sunset and be grateful they all pulled off, by a slim margin, the robbery in their former neck of the woods. Why tempt fate contemplating another robbery in a big city where the odds are against you? Other than that excellent.

Ignite is novel, full of suspense, intrigue, humor, and love. The lively characters Truck, Corn and Josie are working towards self discovery as they maneuver through the Jim Crow south. It kept me in suspense.

I liked the interactions of the characters. I wished we were privy to know how Corn’s life turned out. I hope Truck and Josie have a family. I enjoyed the story.

Not Bonnie & Clyde, better!

I love the depth of these characters. We're shown insecurities, strengths & growth in how they all started to how it ends.

It was an exciting ride through these Jim Crow streets. These white folks pissed me off. But They got set straight.
