Lost for words

I find myself enjoying his books so much I surprise myself. I am in awe of the heroines in his novel. In the sense that I’m a 55 year old who’s still working and constantly trying to find purpose to keep going keep giving and no matter how I’m feeling continually be there for others when I selfishly put me first . He has become my new best author and I look forward to my next reads.

Good but not great

The series seems to have reached its peak with “if she hid”. Clearly the author is gifted but is possibly pumping these books out too fast and it’s losing the quality for quantity. There is such a lost opportunity to grow a bond and character development between the dynamic of Kate and DiMarco. However we only get bits and pieces and instead the continuous drum of Kate loving being an agent then doubting her choice and “this might be it, I’m so old”. To be honest it’s getting beyond repetitive and annoying. As a reader I find myself longing to be take along Kristin DiMarcos journey instead. Kate has become dull and predictable. The ending in this one is ridiculous and so over the top unrealistic. The way she talks you would think she is a grandma on her deathbed with an immature boyfriend who is described as “so sweet because he “let’s” her work”. Low bar for Kate who was once a strong, secure and brilliant bad ass now a predictable woman who has lost her luster that made her shine. Side note the last two books the narrator repeats herself, swallows loudly, sounds like she’s running out of breath and says words or sentences wrong so stops and re-reads. Does no one edit or give her feedback?

Lots of surprises

Well that was full of twists. Narrator still really needs to get her vocabulary down- "been" again. Especially when Wholly was pronounced as "wally." I couldn't help but recall those late night shows where the host goes around and asks simple questions that most people answer with no problem. Good acting requires reading and planning ahead.
