I am so happy to be married and to a wonderful man. I have been in relationships like the one you mentioned. Frozen in fear, desperate for help, stuck! Finally, I woke up, but it took a long time. Yes, tell friends and family but the, LISTEN to their words of wisdom.

Saw it coming from a mile away.

Predictable. I also would have liked to hear something about her efforts to have a career in comedy. It felt like an afterthought, when we know that it's time consuming hard work.

Makes you wonder for sure

You have to wonder about easy it is to let our guard down and be taken advantage of. Great story for everyone.

Flinch more than twice

The narrator’s nasally voice borders on annoying, and detracted somewhat from the story she was telling. I flinched repeatedly during the story, suspecting the worst - yet when that suspicion was proven accurate, no satisfaction over solving the “whodunnit” was to be had. I hope karma catches up with the sociopaths who walk this Earth sooner rather than later; there’s a few I’d like to add to the list.

Unexpected

I was not expecting what the book turned out to be but it was really good. Started and finished in one session I couldn’t wait to learn what happened.

Great listen

When the bank teller mentioned it’s always the boyfriend, that was a sign or god hinting to whom was the thief. I’m glad Rachel came out a survivor. I know a woman who is trapped in a situation similar to this. I will be sending my friend a link to this so maybe she will gain some clarity in her own situation. Stay amazing Rachel.😘❤️

Wow! A true Tragic Comedy

This author/comedian was very entertaining in her delivery of a highly interesting story about betrayal. I will look for more from her, I truly enjoyed this story.

And I really, really loved the sentiment she expressed at the end toward her shameless, manipulative, conniving perpetrator. In the beginning, I admired her empathy as she endeavored to understand the “mental illness” the criminal had been diagnosed with.” I would hope people find that sentiment inspirational like I did—the compassion she expressed was beautiful. But, later, when she said: “Because… F*$k That Guy”, it felt triumphant and I loved her even more!

Definitely worth a listen for entertainment, but it was also a bit educational because I
learned about a new “disorder” I had not heard of before.

curious how it ends

it is like i know her life is continuing ...but i am curious what is her next step? ... like because of this life path, where she was currently, what is next? ... how rough it was ... or it was going that moment ... i did this ... or would perhaps do this? she has a gorgeous voice .. of the ones in this Amazon collection ...it was my fave ...i have no clue why i did connect with 'cause i have never walked in this similar issue ...but the others were way different ... i wonder why Amazon makes them connect??!
