Ice Rivals is the third book in the Desert Ice Hockey series. I feel it is best to read this series in order to get the most out of the story so why not enjoy the rest of the series. This is the story of Mason a rookie on the team and Jett a fellow team mate. I couldn't put this book down once I started it. This book has a truly wonderful message in it about being who you really are. I enjoyed watching Jett become who he wanted to be. Mason was the perfect person to help him get there. If you get the audio narration, Finnley Cole does a wonderful job of narrating this series. He makes the change in characters seamlessly. I can't wait to listen to the next book. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Rivals to sweet lovers!

Amazing narration!

Marin and Jett are super sweet. I watching them come together in secret and melt for one another. Mason does his fare share of show boating and poking at Jett but quickly learns that Jett has a reason for being how he is.

Mason goes hard for Jett thinking he can give him a hard time but quickly looses steam and realizes Jett is so much more then meets the eyes.

Super sweet moments but still get all the tension and action!

So good!!

I just love this series and the relationships written within it! They bring out all the feels in me and I love watching the characters become so strong in themselves and as a couple. I loved getting to know Jett and Mason while also getting to see the prior couples and the squad! I also listened to the audiobook which was so well done - especially with all the different accents that were represented - it was so good! This is such a good addition to the series and I cannot wait for more!!

Hockey Playboy Makes Good

Hockey playboy makes good in this third book of the series. This time we've got Mason, the hook up king of the Coyotes NHL team. He's always on the make and always out of a good time with no strings. But when he's stood up by his latest app date and connects that profile with his newest team mate the game is afoot. Mason is hell bent on making Jett admit that he was the one on the app and that he is in fact gay. Jett is nursing some pretty serious emotional wounds from the mistreatment by his last team because of his sexuality. And he's sure he will lose his Dad once the truth of it is revealed. What neither man expects to the way the whole heartedly fall in love with each other. I'm always a sucker for a hurt/comfort story and this delivers. The two MCs are very sweet together but that doesn't take anything away from the spice level. And, of course, hockey. I like the interconnected universe of these books and the others Gordon has written based in Tempe. It's fun to see characters cross over and to see how they're all related. Finnley Cole is such a great narrator too. I've grown to love how he does Christie Gordon's characters and the different voices he gives them. A really fun listen.

Wonderful story!

I loved this story from start to finish. I was pulled into the growing pull between these two guys. They are both gifted hockey players and they make the other better when they play together. I love how Christie writes these mm hockey love stories they grab me from the first page and I don’t want to stop until it’s over. The narrator did a great job getting the emotions across with his words. I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves mm hockey love stories.

Unconditional love and support

Ice Rivals by Christie Gordon follows the relationship between Mason And Jett. Jett, has a secret, he’s gay, and being traded to the Coyotes was the best decision he has made since his last team The Dallas Stars refused to acknowledge him once his secret was out. Mason, a rookie, was having fun messing with Jett when he first arrived but then finding out he was gay and what happened at his last team, had wanted to become his go to person if he needed anything. He introduced him to The Squad and they all let him know they supported him no matter what. What was the worst was that Jett was afraid of losing his dad because of his stepmother who was a fundamentalist and hated gays. As we follow the guys on their way to falling in love, dealing with fallout from the Dallas team, and the support of the Coyote organization, we see what unconditional love looks like and it’s beautiful. I loved Mason and Jett’s story and Finley Cole was amazing as always.

Ice rivals is the third book of the series. The story is about Mason and Jett who are teammates. It was a great addition to the series. I highly recommend reading/listening to each book in this series!

Annoying Attention

Mason and his flirty poking were so much fun! Finnley Cole narrating this was a blast! Totally brought he vibe to life. Jett might have been taken a back at first but then he was secretly loving the annoying attention from Mason. I loved that Mason was so realistic if not a bit much for his age and being the new rookie. It was wonderful to watch Jett let down some of his worry and resistance for Mason. I enjoyed the original way the Mason identified Jett and the all the antics and chemistry that followed because of it.

Really enjoyed!

I enjoyed this addition to the series and really liked Mason and Jett and even though it wasn’t the smoothest start for these two, they do really click and have a great connection together. I really liked how these two take care of each other and grow together. There is a lot for Jett to navigate but it’s easy to feel their love for each other. Mason is such a great support for Jett and I really loved that about him. I’m a big fan of hockey romance and this book and series definitely delivers!
