About this listen

She's the coach's daughter and his rival's newest target.

Aasher Matthews is everything I detest. Arrogant jock: check. Coy smirk: check. Too hot for his own good: check. To make matters worse, he plays hockey. Unfortunately for him, my father is his coach. Fortunately for me, I'm deemed untouchable.

The only common ground I have with hockey players is our love of the ice, so staying away from them will be easy-peasy. Until I overhear their bet—who can get Coach's daughter in their bed first?

I'm ready to bring the entire Bexley U hockey team to their knees. Instead of fleeing, I flirt. Instead of hiding, I run just so they'll chase me. Luring my father's players into a trap has a certain appeal to it.

Except, Aasher isn't fooled by my feigned temptation. He has too much riding on a perfect season and has plans to join the NHL after winning the Frozen Four.

So he proposes our own bet. If he wins, I stay away from his teammates and stop messing with their heads. If I win, he tells my father—his beloved coach—about his teammates' dirty plans for me.

The more Aasher crosses the lines we've carved into the ice, the more I find myself letting him. The only problem is someone else is in on our gamble, and they aren't willing to concede.

Ice Bet is a spicy coach's daughter college sports romance. It is a complete stand-alone. The other books in the series do not need to be listened to in order, but you will see glimpses of future characters in each book.

Love love love ❤️

This was one of the best books. I have listened to thus far. Daddy’s and their daughters you can’t tell me that daddy didn’t know what was gonna happen when he asked one of his team members to watch out for his daughter. The story was so great, but I think the ending was the best, showing 10 years down the road. I would recommend this book and any of the other books in this series to everybody.

4 STARS

I enjoyed this one more than book one, but fair warning, the hero in this one does hook up with other women BEFORE he has a relationship with the heroine. I know this is a big issue for a lot of people, and while I didn't enjoy the scenes with them, I did still really enjoy the book. I much prefer if he is with other people before the heroine, it is off page. I don't need the hero or heroine to be celibate but I also don't want to read about it. That is the loss of star for me.

Otherwise, I really enjoyed the audiobook of this one. I loved the hero and heroine together. The way the connected over skating, and how they ended even spending their time together was fun! I really did love it besides what is stated up above.

I will definitely continue reading the series.

Very close to being good

I enjoyed the story, but all the descriptive sex scenes with the MMC & OW made it less enjoyable. I could really do without that

Decent Story

Enjoyed this story by SJ Sylvis. It had been a bit since reading weak side, so I wasn’t able to place Theo and Claire (the previous couple) very well. Overall, this didn’t detract from the story too much. The male narrator was hit and miss for me. The female narrator was perfect. One thing that did miss for me were some of the antagonistic scenes between the MMC and the FMC in the beginning. I realize he was trying to keep his distance and maintain a boundary; however, some of the phrases and comments about the FMCs clothing choices really rubbed me the wrong way. It grated on me more than I thought it would.

Overall, I liked the story and will be reading the next book.

One of the best hockey romance books

I don’t even know what to say except this book was amazing! Easily in my top 3 hockey romance books I’ve read so far and I’ve read a lot of them!
I’m a sucker for a good forbidden romance trope and an enemies to lovers trope and this book did both perfectly!
I really appreciated the no third act break up as these stories tend to have those and I despise it!
I also really liked that they touched on some deeper topics as well that gave the story and the characters more depth.
This is definitely a light fun read nothing too intense so if you need something with more conflict to satisfy you this may not be the book but I think it was a perfect mix of everything you want in a good book. Lovable characters, good spice, some tension, a bad guy you can hate who gets what’s coming to him, and a HEA!

Perfect forbidden hockey love story!

Loved the storyline and they definitely were perfect for each other. Also liked that it was the same timeline as book 1 and remember the hints of this couple but was a totally different storyline at the beginning was kind of refreshing.

Back to Bexley U!

There is something about these Bexley U players that just consume you. At the beginning I was a little nervous...because Asher is a bit of a jerk but quickly SJ shows us a completely different side of him, which of course you fall in love with. He has been asked to watch over his coaches daughter and make sure she stays out of trouble...and that his teammates steer clear of her, easier said then done. Especially when there is an Ice Bet.

Riley is determined to start over at Bexley U. But that's easier said than done. She can't get back on the ice without having a panic attack, but each night she goes to the rink in hopes it will be the night she can finally do it. The last person she every expected to follow her was Asher...the cocky and grumpy hockey player. Soon they are making a bet of their own and things escalate from there.

I thought Stephanie Rose did an outstanding job as Riley and all of the other characters, the beauty of dual narration is they get to voice every single character. I also found Bryant Walker was a great compliment to Stephanie, their tone and range melded so well together.

Now I need to figure out if I wait for Puck Block on audio....or dive in on my kindle...decisions....decisions.

Loved the narration

Who doesn't love a hockey romance involving the coach's daughter?! I know I always do and this was no exception. When Aasher is tasked with keeping an eye on his coach's daughter, who's new to Bexley and also living across the hall, he has no idea how challenging this will be. I love both of them and the sass they give each other. The banter is perfect and the slow burn definitely hits later on and I loved it!

-Hockey player x figure skater
-Coach's daughter
-Forbidden
-Slow burn
-Forced proximity
-Enemies to lovers

Kind of slow

This book was ok. It starts off really slow. It was pretty boring and took me a long while to get through it. The last 20% was good. It had a really nice ending. But I’m a little disappointed I wasted money on it. It was not as good as book 1 in the series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

I hate to say it buuuut this one was slightly less enjoyable than the first. I was so excited to continue on the series but this was a bit of a let down. I’m still very interested in the next book and hopefully it can redeem the series for me.
