Very good short stories to jog your imagination. He never disappoints! enjoyed listening at work.

AI narrator is terrible

Narration was so annoying I couldn't finish the story. Please release it again the a human narrator.

not sure about the AI

the stories where really good but AI voice couldn't portray all the emotions correctly making some of the scenes unreadable or confusing.

First story was decent…

The AI narrator was a huge disservice to the authors whose stories followed the first. I couldn’t listen to the monotonous dialogue any longer. Some things (aka emotion, inflection, tone) cannot be mimicked by a computer.

Swindled out of my money

1st, the AI was horrible. At one point instead of calling 9-1-1 it read call 900-1-1. Secondly, these stories have the quality of Mrs. Brown's 6th grade creative righting class. I wasted my money by buying the Kindle version and the audio too. Granted that I'm disappointed but I'm sure Mr. King's, his family and others are very happy with these stories this I'm sure of.

The stories were good but the monotone voice that mispronounced and missed words was painful. I tried to focus on the stories, but then something would be misread or the lack of inflection would confuse the meaning and I’d focus on the robotic voice again. Please use humans to narrate!

Terrible example of King

Narration sucked. Says nine hundred eleven when reading 911. No excitement or inflections in voice at all. Just horrible. Stories not that great, either. Understandably a free selection but not even worth that.

Not King’s best.

Stories were okay. Synthetic narration was sub-par, not terrible, but not nearly as good as a human.

This is not THE Stephen King

I thought, like everyone else here, that this was by THE Stephen King, the one we all know and love- NOPE!😂 This is Stephen R King- so it makes a lot more sense now! The AI narration was ok- not great, but ok- but the book was not edited correctly for spelling, because the AI made that VERY obvious! Also, a couple of the stories just ended- like, before the ending, lol! There was just no real ending! There were also other glaringly obvious content mistakes by this author the the REAL Stephen King would have NEVER made- that's what made me Google it! That, and the stories all seemed really far from Kings writing style, not to mention the hurried conclusions that rushed or skipped the climactic endings, which pretty much negated the whole purpose of the story! I probably won't be listening to anything else by this Mr. King, lol! I'm glad this one was free, I guess that should have been my tip off!😂😂😂

I like horror about bugs

The short story, infestation, was good (to me). Everything else was meh at best. Unless you also like horror about bugs keep looking.
2nd story was a poorly written episode of SVU. Third was about an evil doll. I called it quits 12 minutes into the 4thbstiry.
