Indian lore has always fascinated me and this story was unique and lovely. I would recommend it to young and old.

Fantastic listening experience

It was great to see that a recommendation to Audible resulted in this story's addition to the Audible collection. This is a beautiful book which is, on the one hand, a meditation on faith and the clash of cultures, and on the other, a suspenseful and a painful testament to history whereby a First Nations people tries to hold on to the old ways in the face of the inevitable advancement of modern life and culture.

I remember while driving home from a family vacation hanging on to every word as the story reached its conclusion. My hope being that we wouldn't reach our destination before the story ended. I highly recommend this book with its terrific narration. It draws you into the world and characters with compassion and simplicity.

I rarely re-read a book, but I will certainly be listening to this one again.

Only love and empathy will heal our divided world.

The humanity of this beloved storey holds the key to our collective future and to the future of so many other sentient beings.
