Many poker players can make good decisions at the table with a reasonable frequency. Nevertheless, there are numerous situations where even very experienced players behave in predictable ways. These deeply-ingrained habits lead them to make mistakes. The problem is that these situations won't often arise at the table by chance - you have to make them happen. Exploitative Play in Live Poker is a ground-breaking work that teaches you how to create the circumstances where your opponents will be likely to blunder and how to exploit them when they do.

Story
Negotiations are incredibly stressful and can bring out the worst in people. Wouldn’t it be better if there were a principled way to negotiate? Wouldn’t it be even better if there were a way to treat people fairly and get treated fairly in a negotiation? Split the Pie offers a new approach that does both—a field-tested method that reframes how negotiations play out. Barry Nalebuff, a professor at Yale School of Management, helps identify what’s really at stake in a negotiation: the “pie.” The negotiation pie is the additional value created through an agreement to work together.

You love the game of poker, but you usually leave the game a loser. This is frustrating because you know you have what it takes to make a lot of money playing poker. You have two options: Spend nearly a decade learning from trial and error, or learn the information provided in this book. I have been a profitable player for eight consecutive years, but my approach isn't the norm. I threw everything you're supposed to do out the window and focused on what approaches to the game lead to the highest probability of long-term profits. That's it. That's all I care about: Profits!

Game theory means rigorous strategic thinking. It’s the art of anticipating your opponent’s next moves, knowing full well that your rival is trying to do the same thing to you. Though parts of game theory involve simple common sense, much is counterintuitive, and it can only be mastered by developing a new way of seeing the world. Using a diverse array of rich case studies - from pop culture, TV, movies, sports, politics, and history - the authors show how nearly every business and personal interaction has a game-theory component to it.

Rather, he learned them in the past few years, working on his own and practicing on the subway, using simple techniques and free online resources—and here he wants to show others what he’s discovered. This is brain hacking at its most exciting, taking what we know about neuroscience and linguistics and using it to create the most efficient and enjoyable way to learn a foreign language in the spare minutes of your day.

Education can be enriching and transformative. It can also be downright excruciating—even demoralizing. When it comes to learning, why are some of us lovers and some of us haters? Welcome to the world of educational psychology, which uses science to explore what causes people to engage and learn, and what we can do to make learning opportunities more enjoyable and impactful. Spoiler alert: Teachers can only do so much. Students, too, must take control of their learning. Unfortunately, many of us never, ahem, learned the skills to do just that.

Shall we play a game?
How to Win at Roulette by Trevor Clinger does more than tell you how to win. It tells you how to play and how to place your bets. It discusses odds, and tells you the best strategies to win, it is, after all, a game of chance. This is a fairly comprhensive list, and when you are done I am confident that you will have a good idea of what to do when you sit down at the table to finally play.
Harper is a great narrator, and effetively and clearly conveys the message. I did receive a copy of this as a promotion, but that has no bearing on my review.

A waste of a credit.
The information is accurate. A simple google search could result in the same information. It is mostly him telling you that winning is not possible.
