Change comes most readily when you understand what's standing between you and success and tailor your solution to that roadblock. If you want to work out more but find exercise difficult and boring, downloading a goal-setting app probably won't help. But what if, instead, you transformed your workouts so they became a source of pleasure instead of a chore? Turning an uphill battle into a downhill one is the key to success.

We live in a world that’s obsessed with talent. We celebrate gifted students in school, natural athletes in sports, and child prodigies in music. But admiring people who start out with innate advantages leads us to overlook the distance we ourselves can travel. We underestimate the range of skills that we can learn and how good we can become. We can all improve at improving. And when opportunity doesn’t knock, there are ways to build a door.

Interesting Interviews
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook, and highly recommend it. It’s more a collection of interesting interviews of high achievers, many of whom are great leaders, more than a study of how to lead. It’s about billionaire interviewing other billionaires and millionaires, with a few observations on leadership.
The conclusion is consistent with other studies of successful people and great leaders. They come from a variety of backgrounds and all have a unique way of leading. Success comes from a combination of luck, hard work, luck, perseverance, luck, leadership, luck, great ideas, luck, risk taking, luck, drive, and luck. There is no secret to success, really.

Wow!! One of the best audiobooks I’ve heard
Very interesting from the very beginning! I couldn’t stop listening. I re-listened to almost every one. Each leading perspective is very unique and interesting. I would recommend to everyone.

Excellence in Leadership
Absolutely loved it! The audiobook features the actual interviews from each guest and hearing their words was very inspiring.

Good but not amazing
The title is somewhat misleading. It's a great audiobook, but there really isn't an awful lot as it relates to leadership specifically. It is a series of conversations with incredible people who have accomplished a tremendous amount. The questions asked were not challenging or provocative, as you might expect in interviews.

My favorite type of content
What makes this so useful and powerful is the fact that nobody is interpreting their stories for us.
David asks the right questions and we get to hear their honest takes and whatever resonates with us resonates with us.
Thank you David for your work in making the journeys of so many accessible.
