It's Halloween and Meg is handing out candy. Her fiance, Connor, is with her and they are enjoying themselves. it's hard for him to wrap his head around the fact that Meg's grandmother is her cat. He needs to get use to the magical works Meg lives in. Then she surprised him by asking to see his transformation. he also and if it's possible to help him get rid of the curse of being a werewolf. While trying to work through all this, two ex come show up and make life a little more difficult for both of them.
LoriKatz is am amazing narrator whose voice brings to life the characters.
Fantastic audio and story

Great Read

Horrible Halloween Hazards was another great quick read by Amelia Morgan. Meg was hoping for a fun and carefree Halloween but two paroled convicts make that not a reality. This was another great read following Meg and her detective boyfriend. I can't wait to read more by Amelia Morgan.

Enjoyable

I can’t get enough of these short stories. Short sweet and to the point, keep them coming Ms. Morgan. I hope you keep Ms. Katz as the narrator for all of your books. Amazing!!!

Just in time for Halloween

I am loving this series. Amelia Morgan does not take life seriously when she writes these shorts. She finds a good story and entertains me for an hour! This short paranormal gives us Detective Smith, a werewolf who lets his fiance, Meg, a witch know of two convicts he had put away are coming up for parole. Just when life was nice and quiet, this little glitch comes to light, and leaves us wide open for any shenanigans these two may give this couple. Add it the full moon and Halloween, and you are in for a treat! It's fun, funny, fast paced and a great hour of enjoyment. Narrated by Lori Katz, you will get a treat for your trick!

LOVED IT

Another adventure with Meg and her werewolf boyfriend. This is a cute, relaxing short read. Meg decides to watch Conner change to a wolf on the full moon. He wants her to find a spell to help cure the werewolf gene. Also two criminals that Conner feels should still be in jail are let out. Neither like Conner. He put them away. Will they cause him trouble? I love this series. It is fun and entertaining. My only negative thing is it is too short. Makes me want more. The narrator did a good job as well. I was gifted this book at my request in exchange for an honest review.

Fun and entertaining

This is a fun, entertaining story and a good mystery. I love the unusual, fanciful characters, Meg as a witch, the enchanted bakery, her boyfriend/detective the werewolf and Grandma the cat. But there are real threats to Meg and the town that Conner, with the help or hinderance of Meg, must take care. Two ex convicts have settled into town, one is threatening Conner, as he was involved in his arrest. The glitch is, there is a full moon and you know what happens during a full moon...Conner may not be available. Good quick read/listen with exciting ending.

Short But Sweet

This is a short book but packs a punch. Well written and very amusing, the one liners from Penelope will have you groaning. But in a good way. Lori Katz does a great job with the narration. It's a good way to spend some time while working in the studio.

Much better narrator

Much better narrator for this book. Which made the book much more enjoyable. I have also been enjoying the turn the author took in the storyline. I've actually found myself bummed when the book is over, wishing there was more.

Fun Halloween short story

Meg Walton, witch and bakery owner, and Connor Smith, werewolf and police detective, are hoping for a happy Halloween together. Unfortunately, the moon will be full the next few days, meaning that Connor will be spending the nights locked up in his cage, to keep his "mindless beast" form from doing any damage.

Also, two criminals he got locked up not nearly long enough ago, are now getting released from prison. One has served out his sentence; the other has gotten paroled, in Connor's opinion, far too soon.

One of the ex-cons confronts Meg in a parking lot, very aggressively. He says he just needs to warn her about what an awful person Connor is, at least in his opinion.

The other ex-con turns up leaving a house on Connor's own street--and then again later, in a restaurant Connor and Meg are having lunch in.

Both men clearly blame Connor for their derailed life plans, but does either intend to seek revenge?

Meg and Connor are both likable, and they're acting like adults in building their relationship.

This is a fun little short story. Recommended.

Enjoyable Halloween Cozy

Horrible Halloween Hazards, my fourteenth read/listen from author Amelia Morgan. Well-written & enjoyable, a clean, cute, cozy mystery. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Lori Katz. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author and since I own other books by her it will be easy. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
