About this listen

Brady Collins is juggling full-time fatherhood with the booming auto repair business he runs out of his barn. His ex-wife's sudden death has shaken him, but the devastating news that follows leaves him reeling: Sam is not his biological son.

When Sam's wealthy maternal grandparents decide they want custody of the child, Brady knows he's in for the fight of his life. Brady's attorney tips him off that one major life change would virtually assure him of winning guardianship of baby Sam at the final hearing: the stability of an impending marriage. And his friend Hope is willing to step in as the loving and devoted fiancée.

Local radio celebrity Hope Daniels has been driven by a solitary goal her entire life, and she's finally been offered her dream job—in Atlanta. Unfortunately, her arrangement with Brady requires her presence in Copper Creek, and she is faced with missing the chance of a lifetime or standing in the way of a dear friend’s dreams.

Both Hope and Brady would give their lives for beautiful Sam. But can they give their trust to one another? With this new novel in the Blue Ridge Romance series, Honeysuckle Dreams shines light on the complicated and beautiful angles of love.

Not my favorite from Denise Hunter

Denise Hunter is my absolute favorite author so I was very disappointed when this book didn't live up to my high expectations. I felt the plot was slow and predictable with not much conflict to keep my attention. It was also very unrealistic. I didn't feel any "spark" between Brady and Hope, actually Hope really annoyed me most of this book. Brady, however, is one of my favorite "book boyfriends". The narrator was not very good at distinguishing different characters and was too enthusiastic, especially in scenes where the tone didn't fit. Really hope the heft book in the series is better, as I did enjoy the first book immensely.

I love this story in paperback or in audio!

The audio version of this story is pretty good. The narrator did a good job of changing voices as the characters changed. And I just love this story so much. I enjoyed being able to listen to the book in the car on the go.

Great story, not so great narrator

The story is the only thing that that kept me listening. The narrator seemed very inexperienced and often times used the wrong voice for a character. Not that I could do any better myself it just made it difficult to listen to at times.

Medicore

Horrible narrator. Voice characterizations really poor. Sounded drippy, fake and changing from character to character was poor,

so-so

The story was cute, but it lacked the depth I hoped for. Love stories are predictable, but this one was sticky sweet to the point that the main characters had almost no flaws. Some of their actions were not very believable. Also, there was some awkward word choice by the author that was hard to relate to. It sounded younger than the characters. The main issue I had was the narrator. I don't know if English was her second language or if she just has really odd speech patterns. She would emphasis words that shouldn't be emphasized, she paused in the middle of sentences making the sentence awkward, and she hard-voiced all the "g's" including "ing" and it added to the thought that maybe she had an accent or something. With the awkward narration, It was hard to take the story seriously.

irksome

sometimes I think the audio version of a book ruins the story. In this case the narrator pronounced G's like they were K and it just became such a distraction. She also emphasized the wrong words within a sentence and it changed the meaning of the dialogue
