About this listen

Written and composed by immigrants and first generation Americans, Home provides a stronger sense of welcome and belonging for everyone. The United States is composed of and built by immigrants, and it has been a beacon to those in search of a new life for hundreds of years. Home is a collection of 34 poems and 12 songs inspired by a diverse group of immigrants who have made significant contributions to the United States.

From Yo-Yo Ma to Audrey Hepburn, Albert Einstein to Celia Cruz, these poems symbolize the many roads that lead to America, and which we expect will continue to converge to build the highways to our future.

Offering a welcoming feeling intended to inform our cultural conversation and enhance our national dialogue, Home has 12 accompanying musical pieces that serve as personal meditations on the essence of home, in which you can reflect upon where you feel most welcome, whether a place or state of mind.

Deeply insightful and wise

Would you consider the audio edition of Home: Where Everyone Is Welcome to be better than the print version?

I prefer the audio because of the narration by Deepak and other narrators and music musicians. This book weaves together some amazing stories and wisdom about the common legacy we have in the United States. our common ubiquitous origin. (All but native American Indians are immigrants or their descendants.

Deepak tells some profound stories about his own life and others who value their US citizenship and who bring the powerful synergistic diversity that makes America resilient and innovative and creative...an exponential combination of genes and backgrounds and experiences which contribute to problem-solving and economic well being as well as the essential foundation for successful creative solutions.

This book is so much more than the title implies. it also tackles a much-debated issue,...immigration and equality..the defining elements our young country which has become a role model for many in the world who desire the freedom to co create a new life and planet and balance.

Bravo!
