Del Sol, New Mexico is known for three things: its fry-an-egg-on-the-cement summers, its strong cups of coffee - and, now, a nationwide manhunt? Del Sol native Sunshine Vicram has returned to town as the elected sheriff - thanks to her adorably meddlesome parents who nominated her - and she expects her biggest crime wave to involve an elderly flasher named Doug. But a teenage girl is missing, a kidnapper is on the loose, and all of this is reminding Sunshine why she left Del Sol in the first place.

Publisher's summary
You're not going to believe where this story is going to take you!
When Stella's uncle drags her to a surprise party for Ian Stuber, no one is more surprised than the man of the hour - who promptly drops dead. But when it's determined something more sinister is at play, Stella is dragged into the investigation as one of the witnesses, and the search is on to discover not only who committed the murder but how...after all, the room was packed with partygoers.
Sniffing out a killer is a hard enough task by itself, but when you add to the fact Stella's own family keeps stonewalling her every move to search for her missing mother, it's no wonder Stella is about to lose her mind. She’s soon learning that if she wants answers, she's going to have to find them herself.
Can Stella capture Ian's killer before he strikes again? Or will the next bullet be for her?

Story
In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. When a huge storm sweeps up the coast, trapping everyone on tiny Williwaw Island, it’s a race against time—and the elements — to stop the murderer from striking again.

Story
It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Rambled a bit
Of the books in this series, so far this is my last favorite, there were sections ranging in about running and dating that just were a bit too long. The mystery was okay and the finale done okay, if maybe s little over the top.
We finally have answers about Stella’s Mom, so I’m in for the next one. Read these in order.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
