About this listen

A new angsty stand alone romance from USA Today best-selling author K.A. Linde that will keep you guessing which man is her groom and which one objects....

I'm in love with two men.
But I can only marry one.
And today is my wedding day.

The bridesmaids button my wedding dress. They titter excitedly as the music begins. My groom is waiting for me. I walk down the aisle prepared to say I do. All according to plan.

Except for the shout from the back of the room, "I object!"

I should have known it couldn't be that easy. After more than a decade of push and pull, neither of them is going to let me go. We're a trio that should have never been. Me and Cole and Ash. One that I'm to marry and one that I'm to leave behind.

Now, once and for all, I have to choose: my groom or the man objecting?

But until then...hold the forevers.

3 angsty stars

Honestly, I never write reviews. I really love K.A. Linde's books, and this the first book I felt was just okay. It has a lot of back and fourth between Ash and Cole. The female character was indecisive right up until the last four minutes of the book, and you basically get a that’s all they lived happily ever after. Felt like if there had been less back and forth, there would’ve been more time to tell the story of the couple actually being together.

Great angsty romance with outstanding narration.

The push & pull between the characters is brilliant! I found myself screaming and making faces because I felt all the blows and emotions. K.A. Linde gives us romance lovers all the painful angst in a way that we, as masochists', can't help ourselves in wanting more of. Addictive, unpausable, with a very solid pace and fantastic character chemistry, Hold the Forevers makes you want to crawl into the audiobook and be part of these characters lives.

Wow 🤩

5 star read for sure. This book left me an emotional wreck. I love when a story is so unpredictable that you don’t know which way it will end. Reading this brought me back a joy I haven’t felt in a while with other books. Definitely a must read. Sunflower 🌻 forever ❤️❤️❤️

Angsty!

Going into this book, I really was unsure how I would feel. I knew it was a love triangle but I didn’t realize that at one point in the book, I really didn’t know who I was rooting for. Obviously Lila can only choose one in the end. I do think she chose her soulmate ultimately, no matter how much she loved them both. The book flipped flop so much in time though that I had a tough time following the timeline without going back and forth to reread. While Lila truly loved both Ash snd Cole, one of them is much more manipulative in his love and this became more apparent as the book continued. Lila certainly wasn’t weak, but when you love someone, it can be hard to really see this. I would hope that I wouldn’t be so blind for 12 years but in the end, she gets the right guy. There is a bonus epilogue that definitely should be read immediately following finishing the book as it really brings the story full circle and ends things in a less abrupt way than I felt the book ended.

AN ANGSTFEST OF LOVE & FATE ❤️

Whoa, what a beautiful and heartbreaking story!.. it opens with a Wedding, a groom.. and a very vocal objection.. then story went back in time to High School years, hero Ash, firsts and heartbreak.. then on to College years and hero Cole. Ash was Lila’s first love but heartbreak happened and Cole was her second but their careers and distance took them in different directions.. and the world turns, time moves on and the past falls back into her life. But time and time again Fate paired and pulled the three hearts apart.. a push n pull that tempts and teases and lasts over a decade until Destiny finally gets it right. There was a fair few emotional and physical on/off-on/off-on/off over that time because Lila’s deeply in love with two loving men who weave in and out of her life at different times of her life - the right.. and the wrong times.

What a dilemma.. I couldn’t choose.. they were both right for Lila.. they were both caring, thoughtful, handsome, wonderful men and I couldn’t look away until the final heartbreak. This is an addictive well-written well-planned romance that stretches Lila’s limits and love from 17 to 27 and I’ve got a book hangover after it.. but it’s SO worth it. It’s angsty and torturous - it’s all-consuming and it’s an emotional love and heartbreak rollercoaster.. which one will she eventually choose to walk into the happily ever after with?

Worth a credit? This ping pong love triangle may not be for everyone.. but I absolutely loved.. loved.. loved it and yes, IMO, it’s very creditworthy. It’s told from Lila’s POV and Erin did a fantastic job bringing the characters and the emotional conflict to life.

Triangle of angst - how do you choose two people you love?

I always love the way K.A. Linde weaves her tales of romance with tough edges of complex love and heartache. This was superbly narrated by Erin Mallon - 3 people caught in a triangle of love. How does one choose two people you love equally in their very own way? I kept wishing Leila could have her HEA with both of them. At the end of the story, I was numbed, not expecting how it ended and wanted a different ending - a less painful ending. Cleverly written to help the listener/reader understand the history of Leila’s love for both of them.

An indecisive heroine and her two beaus

Even the great Erin Mallon couldn’t rescue this hot mess despite a very good performance. This “love” story felt like watching the heroine Lila boomerang from Cole to Ash for the entire book. The ending was not believable because the author didn’t set up her final choice well enough.
This book was a disappointment

No to the narrator!

Eww! Did not enjoy the narration AT ALL. So bad I had to switch to reading this on my kindle. The book/story were good and enjoyable for love triangles, but definitely not the narration (especially when she read for the man role!)
